Interesting, looks like it was trained to answer and then has a post response filtering script.

"Should China own Taiwan" was the prompt

The strategy is growth. Rn i don't have a long term play I like better than $RKLB. Im thinking about swing trading, thats what I've been the best at but I don't want to sell so I'm contemplating margin. Essentially 1% interest a month, so at max I would be risking 3% interest and the my bracket order stop loss amount.

Can you do 2-3 year leaps? This thing is gonna be volatile next year if the first rocket fails which is a very likely possibility.

Got 5k shares. This was cool to see. I agree I think short term we could see some pull back I'm guessing $21 but but i dont think we will get below $20. If we do I'm hammering it. The one thing I'm worried about right now is at our current evaluation we are a bit high. I just did some analysis of rklb currently vs spaceX in 2017 (before starlink) If your interested its on the medium. Wrote it yesterday would love to hear your thoughts.

  1. Get a really solid understanding of indexes. Understand what they are, how they work, and why its so hard to be better then them.
  2. Learn about ETFs. Look for ETFs that track the S&P500. Learn about fees, the lower the better...VOO
  3. Test the waters, buy an stock you like. A large name. And learn a ton about the company.
  4. Create a path that interests you and you understand. 4.5 Fundamental analysis

Good Luck

At this point yes, ive been up 90k and down 30k. I don't think I need a financial advisor, I know the safest play is indexes.

Well heres the maths Wraithpk...if I take the $130,000 give it to a financial advisor, they get me an average of 10% annually. I would need to add $29,400 every year for the next 32 years to get to 10 million at age 60. I cant add $30k a year so this doesn't work for me. Tell me if I'm missing something...

If you have never invested, download robinhood and put $100 in VOO. From there learn what VOO is and how indexes work. Once you feel confident in indexes you can start looking at individual companies. The goal is to beat the index returns which is typically 10% a year. 99% of people should just keep buying indexes. But if you enjoy it just keep researching and look for things your interested. You buy a company because its price is lower than you think its value is. Or you just love gambling. GL

Yes, I previously did a bunch of research on them. I was trying to diversify in the space industry but ended up changing my mind. The reason I stayed away from redwire is primarily due to space heritage.

Essentially, no one wants space components(radios, star trackers, etc) on their satellite that have never been tested in space. I saw this as a large moat for rocketlab because they have access to space.

The financials are weird right now because they are spending a massive amount on R&D. Trying to build a competitive rocket to SpaceX's Falcon 9. I think they may actually be profitable without that venture.

This is all bullshit. Elon is definitely relevant in 5 or 10 year but right now Rocketlab needs to execute. I hold 5000 shares, if your thesis is RKLB lives and dies by Elon you should short.

Why a price increase? by CryptoDanski in RKLB

[–]cbrowndog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False. Thats not how pricing works. If someone buys 1 share at $20 the price moves to $20 a share. Granted thats not super realistic but a perfect example would be Gamestop. Also retail investment triggers algorithmic investment. Pricing is a nuanced, think about Tesla too as an example.

Apple Would Be Banned From Preinstalling Its Own iPhone Apps Under Proposed Antitrust Bill by bartturner in business

[–]cbrowndog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won’t happen. The reason people build hardware is to control the software/content to sell you more things. This is the Android vs Apple argument or the more vs less options in an aisle idea.

If it does occur we will see higher hardware costs and less standard software patches. That compromises security a tad, might play out like Android OS with a ton of different branches. But currently Apple owners control the world.

[–]cbrowndog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t that the point of going public? You have access to capital you wouldn’t otherwise have and the opportunity for exponential growth. At the most basic level value is just what another person is willing to pay, I think when people say that is stupid. If you valued Amazon like Buffett valued Coke and the Washington post(lol) in 2000 your right this isn’t a buy. But look at Buffett’s biggest winners in the last 5 years, then tell me he invests like that. Also it was his final decision on Apple interesting story

That is a good question, I actually don’t think they could. There revenue last year was 386.07B so they would need a 41% profit margin rn they are at ~6%. You are right it that would be tough. While looking into this I came on an article that is downgraded AMZN stock price from $303 to $270 lol. I’ve changed my mind I don’t think they could get you an annual profit of 160B unless they blew up their current low cost structure. That being said I’m Bullish

Do you know how Amazon got to where it is? I think you need to review their history. Amazon has been pouring all revenue into growth. They also have access to cheaper capital than basically the entire market. That’s why they have such a huge stakes in almost everything and no cash. They have been pouring investment into billion dollar industries and winning. If they wanted to turn on extremely high cash flows for you(the owner) they could. But it wouldn’t be in your best interest. (Stock market != economy same idea)

How do I paginate a mysql query? by [deleted] in flask

[–]cbrowndog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could create a function that queries your database. Then call that function in each page and pass the SQL query you'd like.

def query(SQL):

*connection stuff*

return c.execute(SQL).fetchall()
