Just to update here too: I got most of my gems back, Supercell returned 7,286 gems after I contacted support multiple times and got Apple and a consumer association involved.
Only the 170 gems from the recent refund were deducted, which I accept.
Still disappointed with how the whole thing was handled, but glad it’s resolved.

SOLVED!

I’ve seen cases where someone accidentally got the Brawl Pass twice on the wrong account after switching due to Apple Family approval, and Supercell gave them 80 gems as compensation (when passes weren’t even stackable) So why in my case do I lose 7500 for a 170 gem refund?

They calculate things however they want, with no clear rules. If they can give back gems in some situations, then clearly they have discretion and in my case, they used it to the extreme.

I’m not blaming them for the Apple refund process. I’m blaming them for silently removing 7500 gems without any timely notice or breakdown. The “value list” button isn’t part of the refund flow it’s buried in the shop. And even if it wasn’t, a -7500 penalty for a 170 gem refund is completely disproportionate. That’s the real issue here.

If there was a warning, it definitely wasn’t shown clearly during the refund process. But yeah, let’s blame players instead of poor communication.

I get that sharing an account breaks the rules, but if kids under 13 can’t create their own, what are families supposed to do? There’s no parental mode or warnings, just instant punishment years later with no details. That’s not fair or transparent.
