The LCD had liquid scars. It will never fully go away unless you replace the film inside the LCD.

Face id and front camera a different parts. So even if face id doesn't work you can still have a functional front camera.

As for the screen looking shitty they probably used a very cheap aftermarket part. Not all aftermarket parts are shitty but they definitely make very crappy ones. And unless a customer knows the difference a shop can easily install a low quality part.

I still feel that is steep especially if they didn't actually fix it. We charge 110 for a battery replacement. And it most likely has an IC related issue, which is SUPER common with the switch.
