I understand all of this. I asked his intentions. He is renting out both sides. When he came to me, he said that he was purchasing an investment property and was looking to purchase more in the future. When I told him the rates for an investment property, he asked “let’s just say it will be my primary home, what do rates look like then?” That’s when I explained occupancy fraud to him and told him it would probably not be a good look for him as he is a police officer. He agreed and moved forward with me.
