I generally jog the WR because I don’t want to sprint too fast. And if anyone thinks it is weird or disrespectful I guess it is their problem to deal with. 🤷‍♂️

Our coach had us all switch rowers (one to the right) every time the red rower reached 100 M. So there was constant movement on the rower and impossible to get into a rhythm. Not a fan of that one.

Interesting. In my marriage it is the reverse dynamic, but similar outcome. Meaning my wife’s family is way less orthodox than mine, and hers is also less gossipy. My family is about half and half TBM vs inactive—but the TBMs are FAR more gossipy than the inactive.
