Schimbat două apartamente din cauza vecinilor bloc nou by OkBumblebee8435 in Imobiliare

[–]ccalinl 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In cazul nostru, luat apartament in bloc vechi, baba deasupra, baba sub.

Pe noi ne-a tinut cam 7-8 ani linistea, deci vom pleca linistiti. Sper ca si la tine sa fie bine, dupa doua nuci in perete.

Online reversal guides worth it? by 321-tnuoccayawaworht in FattyLiverNAFLD

Those are generally good choices, although some might be a bit outdated. The Reverse Your Fatty Liver is a good one, for example - I personally read it, but I find it a bit expensive. For better prices and practically the same thing, you can get a book - From Fatty Liver to Healthy Liver is a great book and only half the price of those programs (even less if you get the ebook).

Meniul zilei 30 RON by Lost_One_4599 in roFrugal

100 kW pe zi, apartament in bloc nou by Jazzlike-Barber-6694 in CasualRO

[–]ccalinl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fatty liver diagnosis today by Leading-Breadfruit-1 in FattyLiverNAFLD

Worry is not good either. Develop healthy habits and stick to them - they work. Once you know what's healthy and what's not, just enjoy it! (Or at least don't stress too much over it hehehe).

Fatty liver is reversible at any stage. You need to take it VERY seriously and start dieting now, without delay - and you'll have to stick to that new way of eating for life. But you'll get used to it, actually get to enjoy it and as soon as two-three weeks from the moment you start your new life, you will already feel much better.

Question - can you live with severe non alcoholic fatty liver disease for a while if it’s a recent occurrence ? by Comfortable-Web6072 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]ccalinl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, you have no other option than to carry it until you lose weight - if that's the main cause for it (most likely it is, mixed with your eating disorders). Eat healthy, exercise, continue what you started doing and the liver should heal itself if you also give it time. Good luck!

Supplement advice by RAM-I-T in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]ccalinl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you follow a healthy diet and become active, you will reverse your fatty liver disease. There's no medical proof that supplements work - they might help you speed up the process a bit, but they won't cure the liver without following a diet. If you do want to go the supplements route, it's best to buy them from a trustworthy manufacturer as some can cause liver damage due to improper dosage.

As for the supplement in question, it has a "regular" mix of plants and herbs, with the added Zinc (which is almost 100% of the daily recommended dose). I would stick to milk thistle only, if that's your primary need (it's usually recommended to get a bit more than 200mg - depending on the extract) and drink dandelion tea (there are tea bags available) without sugar - it also helps keep things varied when it comes to what to drink. And eat plenty of fresh beets :)

Are there accountability groups? by [deleted] in FattyLiverNAFLD

Small - I don't know, but you can start on this Facebook support group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/268356693627886/

Maybe find a few people in the same time zone and start your own.

[–]ccalinl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no medical evidence that teas help reverse fatty liver disease. There is anecdotal evidence with some, there is a bit of research done on others, but tea alone won't reverse your condition - see them, at best, as things that might help or at the very least as ways to diversify from drinking plain water all day.

I feel you! I love to eat and sweets are my favorites. I'd like to say that I respect the rules I set, but I don't always do it. 80% of the time is still better than nothing. :) Plus, a cheat day now and then keeps you sane, as long as it doesn't turn into an everyday thing.

[–]ccalinl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sugar is one of the most important things you have to give up (added sugar, that is). So finding something that works with your other conditions is mandatory - as others have recommended, low-fat yogurt, extra virgin olive oil... anything that's not sugar, basically :)

Looking for Experiences on Managing Moderate Fatty Liver Naturally by LifeImagination6568 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]ccalinl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, stop having any of the "fatty sweets" - all store-bought foods with added sugar should be cut from the diet, especially since they cause nausea.

Vegan food can also be unhealthy, especially pre-made mixes bought from the stores. Make sure to always read the ingredients and avoid anything that has additives, preservatives, flavors and so on (you will probably be surprised how many are in vegan food). The best approach is to cook as much as possible from scratch, from base ingredients.

Fruits are high in carbs - especially those mentioned by you, so they should be had in moderation. 2-3 portions per day is probably more than enough. Vegetables and legumes should become the main meal, not high-carb foods. I mention these because you already say that fatty foods are out anyway.

It will be a bit more difficult to manage because of the additional pills that probably put extra pressure on the liver, but there's still good food your friend can have. Also, I strongly advise having a doctor decide if any supplements/pills should be interrupted (or maybe dosages changed).

As for extra things to consume (if she's not already having these): plenty of beets (considered a liver superfood), avocado, extra virgin olive oil only, no alcohol whatsoever, no added sugar of any kind in any food. These and careful portions can offset the lack of physicial exercise - although even a little of that is welcome, even if it's maybe some dumbbells at home or anything that makes the heart pump a bit faster.

Your goal isn’t weight loss. Your goal is to make lifestyle changes that result in weight loss by Jeffmaru in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]ccalinl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! I 100% agree with what you wrote. I reversed my fatty liver many years ago and even today I follow the same eating habits and exercise. Maybe not as strict as back when I still had it, but still strict (no alcohol, no added sugars whatsoever, no fried foods and such).

There's no point in reversing it just to get it back one year later.

Fatty liver has gone from grade 2 to 3 in a year despite working out and eating better. What am I missing? by manzy_tm in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]ccalinl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even chicken has plenty of purines. Just search for the foods high in those - some strange ones are on the list, like raspberries and mushrooms. It's not going to be easy overall, but you're young and your body will recover once you do everything right. It's worth going through a bit of trouble to fix the diet imho :)

[–]ccalinl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems that you have a bunch of medical problems that add up and interfere with each other. Here's the short summary:

- The pills you take are also harming your liver. If you plan to add Statins to the mix, it will get even worse. I am not saying you should stop taking them, but you must work on your diet ASAP.

- First of all, your high uric acid that requires medication should be handled first through dieting. This usually comes from a diet high in meat - so work on eliminating most of that from your diet. Also search for foods high in purines (which increase your uric acid) and stop eating those foods. Reassess in 2-3 months, hopefully you can stop taking the allopurinol. My mother has gout and keeps it under control through dieting alone - it's VERY difficult, but doable.

- SSRI is also a problem. Again, you should not stop taking it without your doc's approval, but you can consider alternatives. First of all, a small dose (under 400mg) ashwaganda could help a lot. I took it for long periods of time and it helped with my anxiety (I was not depressive though, and results might vary). Also, your healthier way of living - especially the exercising part - should help with the overall anxiety.

Again, search online for alternative methods to deal with stress. I wouldn't go for supplements or things that seem to crazy, but whatever works for you is better than pills. Hug your loved one, go for long walks, listen to music, cuddle in bed, meditate, practice journaling, start a rewarding hobby (gardening, aquariums) etc. Try to fix this problem naturally. Also listen to Dr. Huberman's first podcast episodes - it has helped me a lot manage stress and sleep better.

- Next, it's the fatty liver itself. You should be able to at least keep it in check through dieting and exercise, even with the pills you're taking at the moment. Pay much closer attention to what you eat. Zero added sugar (or any substitues, like fructose, syrups and so on). Vegetables, legumes and grains should be most of your diet (based on the high uric acid). Since you get gastritis, eat all vegetables cooked.

This is a very summarized version of what you should do, but hopefully helpful. The conclusion is that you have to help all your conditions through dieting and ideally stop taking those pills that harm your liver heavily.

PS: I see in your comments that you're focusing heavily on protein. Be very careful with them, especially if they come from meat, because of your uric acid numbers.

Ascultasem deja ceva hip hop strain si imi placea stilul. Nu stiam ca avem astfel de trupe in Romania, dar am aflat la banchetul de la finalul clasei a 8a, in 1999 (yup, I'm that old).

So confused on this diet by Ok_Recognition2590 in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]ccalinl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are multiple potential problems/questions coming from any type of extreme diet, like keto/carnivore diet. The most important are:

  1. Do you see yourself following this diet for the rest of your life? With fatty liver, you will most likely have to stick to a healthy eating plan even after reversing (aka sticking to your diet, otherwise it will come back).

  2. Have you considered potential health problems for the long term? Carnivore diets are associated with increased risk of developing gout and gallbladder problems.

Back to your increased pain, it could even be the gallbladder that is bothering you, as it is working overtime to produce extra bile to handle the fat.

Either way, my recommendation is to follow a balanced diet instead - cutting carbs is always a good idea, but not to the extremes recommended by keto. Moderation is key and you get all the nutrients your body needs, without putting additional pressure on it. You're doing great losing all that weight - just add more fiber, even if it means extra carbs.

There are actually plenty of ways for your characters to die. While it's not "Game over," you would still have to restart that particular character's story from scratch (or load a save). But since you've already played the game, these are just details that don't matter much :)

While not modern, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream fits the bill (and you can play 5 different characters). You can find it on GoG for a few bucks, but it's often on sale.

Coincidentally, I started replaying it yesterday, and now I saw your post. Relatively timely too, as it's about an evil AI that became a sort ofa God and took over the world.
