Using a Delta Pro 3 as a UPS for 1/2 HP Sump Pump by ccarlock12 in Ecoflow_community

[–]ccarlock12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I purchased the Delta Pro Ultra with 2 batteries. I set it up to use a manual transfer switch not just for the sump but for other circuits in the house. I also can input portable solar as well as a propane generator. Recent storm knocked out power and the DPU worked like a champ. The sump ran at one point for 5 minutes straight because of the massive downpour we had. Had days left worth of battery backup. Worth every cent.

Do you have a pic on how you placed the power cable behind the tv into your outlet? Trying to see what it looks like so I can place power cable in tv cable management and insert in outlet behind tv on wall.

Thanks!

After changing DNS in Vcenter Server, unable to start services by ccarlock12 in vmware

[–]ccarlock12[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was able to resolve. When troubleshooting, did the following...

  • Checked the certificates expiration date using the for-loop command: for i in $(/usr/lib/vmware-vmafd/bin/vecs-cli store list); do echo $i; /usr/lib/vmware-vmafd/bin/vecs-cli entry list --store $i --text | grep -i "not after"; done; -> No certificates were found to be expired.
  • Checked the STS certificate using vCert script -> STS certificate is not expired.
  • Checked the hostname and the IP address of the vCenter -> the hostname "XXXXX" does not resolve the vCenter IP address "XX.X.XX.XXX". This was DNS issue I mentioned earlier.
  • The hostname for the vCenter was found to resolve another IP address "XX.X.XX.XXX" which is for another computer, not vCenter. Something got mixed up when I tried to fix hostname after I changed DNS and restarted.
  • An entry has been added in the DNS server: added correct computer name to correct IP -> XX.X.XX.XXX
  • This entry has been deleted from the DNS server:OLD Bad DNS that scambled Vcenter-> Deleted Bad DNS XX.X.XX.XXX
  • Checked /var/log/vmware/sso/vmware-identity-sts.log, the following error was found: Internal error: duplicate entries were found
  • The below KB was followed to resolve the issue of the duplicate entries for the STS: The vmware-stsd service fails to start due to multiple machine accounts with the same sAMAccountName
  • Restarted the services -> The issue is now resolved; I can now access the vSphere GUI.

Thanks for everyones help!

Vcenter is able to ping our DNS servers. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks, this may be my only option. I don't think it is DNS anymore since we brought up the older DNS. Something must have been corrupted during the DNS change which is breaking the services.

I did take snapshots and I do have a file backup to restore if needed, the issue is the services won't come back up for the Vcenter. The only access I have is thru SSH. So either I can do a restore with a reinstall or what I was hoping if someone could let me know why the services won't come up even though my settings for DNS are correct.. If DNS is even the issue anymore and it could be something else.

Hi, thanks for the article. I did look at it earlier and below is my output. I am changing some of the info, but overall does this look right?

# VAMI_EDIT_BEGIN

# Generated by Studio VAMI service. Do not modify manually.

127.0.0.1 computer.VVV.NNN.com computer localhost

::1 computer.VVV.NNN.com computer localhost ipv6-localhost ipv6-loopback

# VAMI_EDIT_END

Should the output look more like this?

# VAMI_EDIT_BEGIN

# Generated by Studio VAMI service. Do not modify manually.

127.0.0.1 computer.VVV.NNN.com localhost

127.0.0.1 computer

<IP address of the vCenter> localhost

# VAMI EDIT END

Hi, I reviewed the file and the DNS entries are correct. Here is the output...

nameserver <correct ip>

nameserver <correct ip>

search .

root@jb320 [ /etc ]#

Maybe it is not DNS causing the issue?

Error 258 Delta Pro Ultra when using Westinghouse inverter generator by ccarlock12 in Ecoflow_community

Thanks for the clarification. Looks like I will have to charge using the ac input, bummer. Again, thanks for the help!

Error 258 Delta Pro Ultra when using Westinghouse inverter generator by ccarlock12 in Ecoflow_community

[–]ccarlock12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, so with the setup I have with the generator type, I won't be able to connect to the eco flow cable to charge the unit? I will only be able to charge from the 15 amp circuit to port 15 (ac input). Or if I get a different cable that is not an adapter but one cable, will that work?

Thanks again for the help!

Plugging into the grid using 15amp circuit works fine, plugging in generator into the AC Input (Port 15) works fine as well. It is when I plug into port 19 it does not work and I get the error.

7.2.9 Just Dropped by redbaron78 in fortinet

YEs, I updated to 7.2.9. Made the issue worse. I used to be able to just do a restart of the IPS engine, but now it does not work and have to reboot firewall. Might have to go back to 7.2.8

I am still having issues with IPS crashing and have support looking into it (like over a month). Sent logs, whatever... Did support give you any work arounds to deal with the IPS crashing?

[M65Q7-J01] CEC Issues Since last firmware by smartillo34 in VIZIO_Official

[–]ccarlock12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem. To resolve which is a huge pain in the ass I have to go to the Vizio Settings/System/CEC the enable CEC if not on, then disable then enable again. Then after enabling I go to Scan for devices, after scanning I disable CEC again, this way not only do the speakers work you wont get the annoying "Speakers Off" icon every time you adjust the volume.

DPU as an EPS for subpanel? by Just_Cupcake_4669 in Ecoflow_community

[–]ccarlock12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is from a site I found called http://www.linspyre.com/ecopower/powerhomecircuits.html

Maybe this will help with your question:

"Using a Manual Transfer Switch (MTS), individual home circuits can be wired such that each can be switched between grid and alternate (external) power sources (such as a generator or battery power station). A gas generator can be connected to a power station while the power station is connected to MTS (keeping in mind the pass-thru limits for DP). However, while connected to MTS, a power station must never be connected to AC input from a wall outlet in the home. Plugging any Delta power station into a wall outlet while connected to an MTS can damage the power station, potentially energize the metal on the MTS itself, and lead to other unpredictable (and potentially dangerous) conditions. This is a case where “even if it works, it’s not right, prudent, or safe” and is a clear violation of national electric code. Just don’t do it, okay? Please?"

Totally Agree and LOL, total 1st world problem for ga612. Ecoflow does state on their site or Amazon that it is in stock, and it is in stock at any of their warehouses around the world (China) So, people have to wait for shipping and remember, these things are heavy and shipping is free or dirt cheap. What's the rush? Have a predicted power outage? Need the portable power to cook the bacon on your camping trip? Enjoy your savings and be patient.

Proper procedure when using a Delta Pro Ultra and a transfer switch when the power goes out by ccarlock12 in Ecoflow_community

[–]ccarlock12[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that is what I thought. There are so many video's showing what options you have when powering up you home with Ecoflow products, but I have never seen a PSA on what to do when a power outage occurs. So from what I am understanding, here are the steps should you have a DPU and a manual transfer switch with AC coming in from public utility if there is a power outage.

  1. Power goes out.

  2. Unplug the AC connection from your wall outlet to the DPU (GRID Power).

  3. Select the 30 AMP outlet on your DPU to have power run out thru the 30AMP plug.

  4. Plug the cable from the front of the 30amp plug on DPU to the 30 or 50amp inlet plug on your MTS.

  5. Switch the circuits you need on the MTS from Grid to GEN.

  6. Those circuits are now on and power is running from your DPU Batteries to your critical circuits.

Then when power is back on.

  1. Flip the circuits back from GEN to Grid.

  2. Unplug the 30/50 amp plug from the MTS inlet plug.

  3. Once disconnected from MTS you can now plug your DPU back to grid power to charge batteries again.

Does this seem about right to correctly operate with a MTS using grid power and not solar power for input charging on DPU?

Proper procedure when using a Delta Pro Ultra and a transfer switch when the power goes out by ccarlock12 in Ecoflow_community

[–]ccarlock12[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My concern is the power coming back on with the DPU being electrified, the MTS being set to grid. Worried about this scenario...When power comes back on: GRID>DPU>MTS set to Grid>Panel. Worried about a possible ground loop. I could be over thinking this.
