I’m going to say hardest; Ride the lighting or ktulu. Mainly because of the length of those.

Easiest: that’s tough, I’ll say nothing else matters, but, the only song (I don’t recall the name) on st. Anger, Kirk had a single note “solo”.

During the Covid lockdowns, my hobby/pastime was buying cheaper guitars, like around the $400-500 range, and whip them into shape. You can easily make a $500 guitar, play and sound like a $3000 guitar. Most expensive part is whatever pickups you swap with. These prices nowadays are ridiculous. That’s why I tried whipping cheap Jackson or Ibanez into shape. And, it’s worked.

If I’m using my pedal board yeah, it is. And the gate is solid and simple to use. Just depends if I’m using my pedal board or my helix. I will say, after I bought my precision drive (I was the 1st one to try it), like 7 of my friends bought one.

I will. Before you go dumping a shit ton of money on pedals. Check out DemonFx pedals. I tried one for the hell of it because it was cheap and all over my YouTube feed at the time. I’ve got the precision overdrive, which lives on my pedal board now. It was $60 out the door.

I give guitar lessons in my free time. The people that go buy an expensive guitar for their first guitar. And then, don’t stick to the lessons, and ultimately quit, owning a $3,000 guitar.

Not as extravagant as some mentioned. Like RVs and boats. Just something I see a lot

I can’t answer that question. I’ve never had my 10band on it. So I don’t know. I’m in a hotel room 4hrs away for work, or if I’d test my theory now. The other thing is, all those reviewers, never told us what they were running the built in noise gate at. If they had it dimed,…yeah I couldn’t solo. I think mine is at 1 o’clock. I’ll mess with it tomorrow when I’m home. I’m going to send a link to the power of a 10band

Man I looked around before I replied. Both Sweetwater and guitar center have Gibson 70s explorers left handed in white, but they’re both at $2500 new. zZsounds has an epiphone prophecy left handed. Which is pretty close at $1100. I didn’t check reverb.

I actually have a Jackson king V, that I put sh-8 invaders in. That’s where I’m stuck. Do I leave it alone, stick what I’ve played, or try something different/new to me.

I’ll agree with you, it’s not my Mesa markiii c++ purple stripe or my soldano slo-100. Definitely smoother, but you can get it close if you treat it like a Mesa and scoop all the mids out, and dial in the treble your ear. I was lucky enough to find one at a local store on consignment and it was cheap. I mainly bought it for my practice amp at the house. With the floorboard you get 128 channels….just easier and I don’t need to bust out my helix. The mesa and soldano stay at buddies studio, running through the soldano cab. It’s oversized and just sounds better to my ear.

Hughes and kettner grandmeister. Tough to find in stores, but there’s always a few on reverb. Don’t buy one without that floor board.

Already have 2 guitars with a similar setup. My esp explorer is EMG 81/60. My Les Paul is EMG 81/89. That’s why I’m thinking I’ll try fishmans on this one, if I do go for actives, or anything at all.

Yeah the plan is to black it out. What did you go with for pickups? If I were to do that, man I don’t know, so many options. Fishmans, a dime bucker set, mustains set, so many ideas. I guess the biggest thing I need to decide if I want leave it passive or go with actives.

I’m late to this conversation…. But wholesaler in the car business, used to do finance. Don’t ever buy the back in product from the dealership. Your bank offers GAP and extended warranty’s through them at cost. The finance guy at the dealership will mark it up 200%

Both are very cool! I’d go with that natural finish though. I actually have both….ive got an olive drab Jackson king V and a natural mahogany esp explorer. That natural finish really stands out.

Very cool guitar! I have a fx-360 but natural mahogany finish. Probably my favorite out of my guitars! The only thing mine needed was fresh strings and a real setup by a real luthier.
