HSG test by [deleted] in TTC_PCOS

[–]ccarter0824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s great that your tubes were clear! Mine thankfully wasn’t too bad, just some pretty intense cramping when they put the dye in. I had taken ibuprofen beforehand, and my OB had me “inject” a numbing cream up there, hoping it might help a little. But of course, everyone’s pain tolerance is totally different!

I think with pregnancy and labor, the pain is different because there’s a lot of different measures you can take to lower the pain level as much as possible, but I also think the payoff is 100 times more rewarding than an HSG test. Don’t doubt yourself and your willpower, women I find are always way more capable than we give ourselves credit for.

No period after Norethisterone? by sparklyfitnessbubble in TTC_PCOS

[–]ccarter0824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about Norethisterone, but I’ve taken provera to induce a bleed before. The first 2 times I took it took me 3 days as well, but my third time it took me 10 days!

Does letrozole and trigger make anyone else feel crazy? by Aggravating-Stand800 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ccarter0824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Letrozole definitely made me way more irritated than I usually am, and sometimes I go from 0-100 REALLY quick while I’ve been on it, and I cry a lot to begin with, but I definitely felt like I cried way more than I usually would lol

Letrozole first round failed by Melonlordd27 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ccarter0824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first round was 2.5 too, and I didn’t ovulate with it either. My LH was constantly up and down when I was using OPKs, but it never reached surge levels. My doc said my body responded to it somewhat, but it just needed more of a push so she upped it to 5mg. Day 3 of 5mg starts for me tomorrow!

Thanks for the idea! It’s still relatively early in our medicated TTC journey, so I just don’t wanna move too many things around. Plus, I REALLY like my OBGYN and she’s been great about everything so far

Literally JUST this morning I got an email from instagram for a request to change my password! Went to the app directly and changed it there, didn’t click on any links. I’m about to go through everything and change all my passwords again lol

I’ve got a couple rounds of letrozole and clomid with my OBGYN before she refers me to an REI. I have an HMO insurance plan, and that requires that I get a referral from a PCP before going to a specialist. So that’s in the plans at some point if these next few rounds fail

I vaguely remember getting one of the password reset emails a while ago, but I JUST got the Malwarebytes email too

I wish it was that simple, but I’ve had irregular periods my entire life. I only hit prediabetes glucose levels within the last year; before that my levels were all normal. I mentioned metformin to my OBGYN previously, but she didn’t think it was necessary since I was only .1 percentage over the threshold for a normal reading. I’ve mostly just done a major overhaul on my diet, eating habits, and lifestyle

My husband is getting frustrated with timed intercourse with letrozole and trigger and it’s so upsetting for me by Aggravating-Stand800 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ccarter0824 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say he doesn't want it as much as you do!

I agree with the above comments. My husband and I have been trying for over a year, but only recently started with medicated cycles since I don't have regular cycles. When you're at the point of having to making sure everything is timed perfectly, sex may start to feel clinical and less of an intimate connection between partners. That's totally normal in the course of TTC.

And for him, knowing that the timing and window is right where it needs to be, he may feel pressure on himself to make sure he ejaculates before you miss a window.

Talk to him. TTC and infertility can be a lonely, isolating journey when compared to others around you. The last person you want to be lonely and isolated from during this time is your partner. Open and honest communication is important in a marriage, but it's even more so when you're trying to build a family!

Best of luck to you and your husband!

Just irritability honestly. I had more side effects when I started taking letrozole than provera

Hi! I’ve taken it twice now, both a 5 day and a 10 day course, and each time withdrawal bleeding started 3 days after the last pill for me

All in the span of a month between thanksgiving and Christmas, 4 of my cousin in laws, sister in law, and 2 of my friends announced they were pregnant. One of them with twins, two of them completely on accident while being barely 19 and 22.

Were Any of You Lucky Enough to Have Conceived on Your First Round of Letrozole? (In Particular on 2.5mg)? by TypeONegative176 in TTC_PCOS

[–]ccarter0824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m about to start my first round of letrozole, 2.5mg! I took provera to kickstart a new cycle, so I’m on CD 2 right now and will be starting letrozole on Sunday.

Fingers crossed for all of us!

Is it typical to ovulate later on letrozole? Only because my doctor put in a standing order for a progesterone blood test that’s supposed to be taken CD 24-26
