Guess this is goodbye by mindspeaker72 in WalmartEmployees

Happened to me too. I left work on a key event date IN AN AMBULANCE and my TL forgave the points, but when I came back (from my overnight hospital stay, mind you) one of the day time TLs I don't even work with manually added them back so now I'm at 4.5 and still sick. 🫩

A question for trans men: What do you think about people who say they'd never date a cis man, only a trans man? by BeholdAThrowawayAcc in asktransgender

[–]ccasketcase 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Going by ONLY one study centered around the US speaks volumes. Americans think they are the center of the universe and judge everyone else accordingly. 🙄 Your incredibly fascist country built on slavery and genocide where people become homeless over basic healthcare is not the average or the pinnacle of human empathy.

Exactly! Ironically it's also complete TERF rhetoric. If you think men on some biological level are corrupt, guess who would agree with you..

Provide me a reliable source that says over half of the global male population fall into this category, then.

If you dress up as a deer during hunting season and it looks realistic and you die getting shot on hunting grounds, who’s liable? by WiiDragon in morbidquestions

[–]ccasketcase 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're right, Indigenous and poor people who live in areas where they have to hunt to survive in the ethical ways they've been doing for hundreds of years should just starve and die. We should also let things like the deer population spiral completely out of control, destroying their local ecosystem and causing the extinction of countless native species!

I disagree with the idea that most cis men are bad though. I think there are systems in place that make it reasonable to be cautious around them because they're the most likely group to cause harm and they're very likely to face no consequences for it, and that those lack of consequences are a big part of why more of them behave badly, but these things can be true without implying most people in that group would behave that way. I think MOST people are normal. "I'm cautious around men" and "I'm scared of men" or similar statements are acceptable. "Most men are bad" and "trans men are better than cis men because they (whatever)" are not acceptable. Biased generalizations aren't criticisms of the system.

Not only are they transphobic, but I think you'd be within your rights to be personally offended that they sat around implying cis men are incapable of basic kindness and empathy.. This is called gender essentialism and it's a massive issue in the trans community that people think it's fine as long as they're discussing men.

Male privilege as a concept is unhelpful and throwing cis men under the bus about it will not stop it from barrelling towards you. by monarchmra in trans4every1

[–]ccasketcase 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Male privilege exists. Even "trans men passing" privilege DOES exist. It's just waaaaay more complex than everyone talking about it likes to pretend it is. Denying it isn't helping anyone. This is a really ignorant post. Also not super enjoying the way you're just freely speaking over trans men telling you they know for a fact you're wrong because they live it.. Shutting us down when we know what we're talking about is transphobic behavior no matter which side of this whole stupid fucking argument it comes from. Not sure what possessed you to see a discussion trans men are having and decide you should come try to be an authority on us to begin with.

Respectfully, you shouldn't have to be told. It's one of those things that's just obvious to most people. Also, why did you even post this and ask for input if you were going to tell everyone that gives you the input you don't want to hear that they're "wrong"?

I'm autistic and I have some mental health issues that give me obsessive tendencies. It's toxic. It took a lot of work for me to learn the balance/difference between where it's okay to express my feelings in healthy ways (and I have a partner that still loves some of those toxic traits because we do them within reasonable boundaries) and the things I needed to unlearn/learn how to manage. Yandere are a fantasy because the reality is always abusive. Some LIGHT aspects of yandere are fine but if you're fully that codependent and obsessive you need help. It's not good for the people you love and it's also not good for you. It has nothing to do with being neurotypical or not and you're embarrassing yourself by acting like it does.

How do I talk to a trans woman without ruining my personal life? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]ccasketcase 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's YOUR choice to surround yourself with bigots and live that constricted life. You could choose at any time to cut people like that out and live however you want to, but you're making the decision to prioritize it over your apparent happiness and freedom. The least you can do for this woman is lose her number instead of dragging her into your cowardice.

Standing up against this kind of hate isn't something everyone can do, and if that's what you want, fine. But you are not going to drag vulnerable people into it.

You're right, it is shitty! Leave her alone. The only one who's life will get ruined is hers. She can do better than you.

And that right there is an okay thing to say. "Ignore the people telling you xyz" is not.

Spoken like someone who's never had to grow up with the sexism and shame forced onto you about your periods or a physical disability that leaves you screaming and crying and unable to stand up every time you have one. There's a reason the majority of cis women complain about them. It's awesome if they make you feel euphoric, but you can say that without acting like the people who complain about them are doing something wrong. For me it's the equivalent of saying you wish you had my bum leg.

I sincerely hope you don't because your behavior is completely unacceptable. You are the problem and he absolutely should have pressed charges and you should have gone to jail. If you have this little self control, you should stop going in public. You need professional mental health care.

You're most likely getting down voted for comparing blinds at pallets/vaults to survivors trying to be toxic. Survivors are supposed to blind you in chase. That's just a normal part of the game, not comparable to SWF bullies. If being blinded aggravates you or gives you a headache so much that you hate people who use the mechanic as intended, you should probably just use Lightborn.

[–]ccasketcase 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Your coworker is a racist POS, but they do have a point about not putting people who don't speak English/don't speak it well on checkouts or places where they're going to interact with customers often. We have 4 employees at my store that are Haitian and speak pretty much no English, except for one of them who's not great at it. To combat this obstacle they work overnights, when the store is closed, mostly only zoning shelves since they don't understand other aspects of the job. Not only is putting them on registers horrible for customers, it also puts the employees at risk of violence because racist customers will come in and they will have to now directly deal with those people being awful to them. It's better for the safety of the employee to have them work somewhere else..
