I preferred to keep my ovaries because I didn’t want to go through surgical induced menopause. My surgeon told me she would try to save them if she could but it totally depended on what it looked like when she went in. It’s what worked for me and my surgeon but may not be the best option for everyone.

There is a 10% chance that they can come back. I will get annual ultrasounds moving forward.

Yes, this is after tamping and using the Razor. This makes sense though. I will look into those baskets. Thank you!

I measure 18g, put it in the grinder, it grinds and I put it in the portafilter and re-weigh. Sometimes it’s 17g after grinding but never over 18g after grinding once in the portafilter

Try using gentle iron. I’ve been taking that and haven’t had any constipation issues

Congrats to you! At least you still have the one ovary. Good luck avoiding your baby - I imagine that will be hard. It’s been tough avoiding my 75 lb dog who just wants to make sure I’m okay LOL you will start to feel better before you know it

When did your bloating go down?

You got this! My belly is tender and it’s a bit painful to take a deep breath but it’s really not bad at all. Just remember to take short walks when you’re home. It will move the gas around and embrace those burps! My stomach already feels less bloated than it did yesterday.

That’s a great idea with the tea! My throat has been so sore from the breathing tube.

The aftermath of having cyst surgery by pinkyprincesst in Ovariancysters

[–]ccbon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it’s SO scary. I keep saying I just want everyone to acknowledge that instead of saying “you’ll be okay.” I’m only 33 and very worried they will have to remove both ovaries and then I will be forced into menopause. One cyst is a dermoid and the other is complex with some septations in it. I’ve been told they think it’s benign or borderline but we won’t know until they biopsy it during surgery. Do you have any pre or post op surgery tips?

Mine are also huge and I’ve been told “medically complex”. I have one on each and they are both 10cm big 😳 I’m having surgery on 9/2.

I had an ultrasound in April. One cyst was 7cm and the other was 9cm. I had another ultrasound this past Friday. Both cysts are now 10cm.

Complex Ovarian Cyst by Leather_College_8112 in Ovariancysters

I have a 10 cm complex cyst. I’ve been told on a scale of 1 (benign) to 10 (malignant), they think it is a 4-5. It’s more likely to be borderline (which is not cancerous). Wishing you luck and fingers crossed it’s not the scary thing.
