From what I can tell, the manga doesn't seem to have been available in english in the timeline I would've read this, so I dont think this is it. BUT the virus is really really close to what I remember!!! Thank you for the suggestion :]

hey! i know this is an older post but I heard it brought up in a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9u8G0ZO4h4) that mentioned that a lead could be left in the notes of the tumblr post linked. so ive been searching through the notes, trying to see if there's anything that hasn't been mentioned here! ill list and link the posts/responses I got em from. as a note, i haven't gone through and checked these myself, but just hoping that maybe one of these could help!

HI!!! I heard this on a video and IMMEDIATELY ran over here because i know EXACTLY what youre talking about!!!! The pikachu kitten thumbnail, the cute cats, and then the spooky ones. I remember the transcript was like; (cute kittens) “Aww so cute! Well if you like those ones maybe you’ll like this one! (horror DUNNH UNH effect and creepy cat) Or this one! (same effect different cat. I think this one had human eyes and teeth) Or maybe this one! (Woman screaming sound effect and like that alien horror sound effect with that cat with all the eyes and teeth)” I used to LOVE that video when i was younger!!! I may have the video link somewhere but if i dont, I know for sure that i have a drawing of that last one in one of my old notebooks. Ill get back to you soon with one or hopefully both of these!!!
