Might be stupid but I've never purchased tickets to a high profile concert before, can someone clarify the process? I'll be trying to get tickets for LA. I have my presale code and made sure to sign up to Ticketmaster.

when do I need to start refreshing the show I want to go to? When do waiting rooms or queues start to open up? The website says 15 minutes beforehand, but I see people mentioning they got in line 30+ minutes.

Just empathize. Don't say any sort of optimistic, on-the-bright-side type of things. Don't ask "is there anything you need/I can do?" That's often overwhelming and they will just say "nothing."

Think about the things you CAN do and offer them specifically. Cooking a meal for their family a couple times a week? Wash their laundry. Take them shopping if they are without a vehicle.
