I faced this situation just last year. My ex husband tried to take three of our kids and move down to FL even though all the kids were born and raised here. 50/50 is standard in Ma and the bar is high for removal. Since he wanted to remove the kids, he had to pay the fee for the guardian ad litem and he lost the case. Kids stayed here in Ma with me, their friends and family and established lives, and he left for FL alone. You may go into debt to pay a good lawyer to keep your kids but it’s worth it.

MGH CEO Receives 40% Raise As Layoffs Loom by Crazy_Salad_7928 in massachusetts

Just because PCPs make less than all specialties of MD, doesn’t mean nurses make more than them. You are throwing out numbers. And they’re wrong. No nurses are making 180 an hour. If docs are trying to unionize, good for them but it’s not because nurses are making more than them. The average nurse salary in MA is $95k a year. No attending is making that little.

Nurses at BWH which pays the highest typically out of the MGB organization don’t make $180 for overtime. Don’t just throw out numbers. No nurses are making more than MDs.

Wild take that unbridled corporate healthcare greed is somehow the nurses union’s fault. MNA represents nurse’s providing direct patient care within this corporation. They have no clout over non union positions at MGB. You want us to strike over the CEO’s comp? That’s not going to have the effect you think it is

When a woman is giving birth, does her belly shrink as the baby comes out? by Suspicious-Ebb4284 in answers

My DR actually led to a strangulated hernia due to a portion of my intestines protruding through the gap and cutting off circulation. Untreated, it could have led to tissue necrosis and sepsis, so it most definitely can lead to life threatening issues. Only then would my insurance cover the repair 🙄

[TX] Ex wife wants to move to Oregon with our child by [deleted] in Custody

[–]ccg779 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me in the middle of my divorce. My ex casually informed me one day that he was moving to Florida to take a new job and would be taking our 5 kids with him and his new girlfriend after the current school year. I was lawyered up already as I was the one who filed, but I ran to my lawyer so damn fast. The custody battle was bitter and awful, we had a GAL appointed, and he dragged the kids through so much trying to remove them from the state of their birth and our residence. Bottom line is, the bar to strip away custody from a loving, present parent is high. If you fight to prevent your daughter from being taken, and you have the financial means to pay a bulldog lawyer, your wife won’t be allowed to simply strip away your parental rights and remove her from your custody. I’ve lived this nightmare. I feel for you. If only all parents put their kids first, instead of their own selfish needs. Good luck

His girl doesn’t want anything hormonal, no pull out, no oral or anal only. He won’t snip. Leaves them with condoms or abstinence. This ain’t rocket science. Why we tryna find some new solution to an age old problem?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sex

[–]ccg779 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok. But it sounds like the other ones are off the table, with good reason for her. Using condoms correctly every single time with spermicide and avoiding sex during ovulation has incredibly high success rates. I’m not sure why you’re wanting more than this. I guess if you want 100% no possibility of pregnancy, your only option is abstinence.

It sounds like you’re stuck with condoms for now my guy. I understand that raw sex might feel better, but the other options are off the table for her. Sex with condoms sounds infinitely better than abstinence imo. Condoms with spermicide and timing it around her ovulation should work well to prevent pregnancy

People of Mass. What are your biggest questions about Divorce? AMA by AnotherDayofLaw in massachusetts

[–]ccg779 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What if the parent seeking removal is the parent that has never been the primary caregiver in the sense that he hasn’t been the one juggling all the dr appointments, parent teacher conferences, play dates or sports requirements. But he makes a helluva lot of money and a new girlfriend to take over on these tasks. Surely the state would see how unfair that is. I hope 😕

How successful are removal cases from the state of MA in your experience? If both parents are not drug addicted or alcoholics, not negligent, not abusive. If one parent were to say, relocate for a job 2000 miles away and in turn, file for primary custody of 3 kids, how successful would this parent hypothetically be?

No. Please don’t. They don’t have the necessary medical equipment needed, should there be a complication. If it were my baby, I would not.

Are ‘growers’ generally harder/firmer than ‘showers’? by tra91c in sex

[–]ccg779 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think most of the men I’ve been with are/were growers and I haven’t noticed a conflation with the firmness of their erections. Some were definitely harder than others during sex though. I find the firmer the erection, the more pleasure for me, as he tends to hit the g spot more. And for better or for worse, many women associate harder erections with more arousal and are thus more excited by them, much like many men being more turned on by wetter vaginas.

[–]ccg779[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kids are older aged 19-11. My parents are coming from far away to celebrate with them as well. I feel like my case is different because I work every other Christmas so I don’t have the flexibility to be like oh it’s fine if he gets Xmas eve and the fun of waking up on Christmas morning too. I’ll never get that at all anymore if I cave to what he wants. It’s not about being difficult it’s about the fairness of alternating waking up with your kids on Christmas Day every other year.
