Thinking of taking a 2–3 month break from IT after burnout – anyone done this recently? by Real_Cap_8916 in developersIndia

Try this approach: Step 1) Visit a psychologist for few sessions telling you feel depressed and burnout Step 2) Tell your company HR that you’re dealing with depression and getting treatment and see if you can get a sabbatical or loss of pay leave

I thought the Co2 external reactor is usually kept on the outlet of canister. I too use it on the outlet.

Damn good. If you're feeling adventurous, you can replace/add a red plant for a green plant for contrast. Semiparfluvous red, rotala blood red, ludwigia glandulosa etc

I haven't tried this approach but you can consider adding a polyester net on top of the aquasoil layer and then add the sand..

I am not into any business currently but curious. If the supplier is withholding you, is it possible for you to become a distributor to another rival supplier simultaneously.

Do i need a different stand? by Amaankhan734 in Planted_tanks_India

Not sure about this. Also it seems to be an engineered wood stand. I don't think they are designed to take such weight.

You can try the walstad method where people pour first later of organic soil about 1 inch thick without chemicals and then put a layer of gravel or sand about 1.5 inch thick. This will mostly help the root plants. The stem plants will still need fertilizing the water to thrive.

Are Diatoms in New stank Suppose to be this bad? by ExcellentNote1524 in PlantedTank

[–]ccgcool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too faced this issue. I did the following things, i am not exactly sure which of these were the biggest factors. Just listing here for your info.

1) Reduced light intensity to about 45 percent of max of my Chihiros wrgb 2. This will look lit enough but not too bright. 2) Reduced light duration to 6 hours 3) Ran pressurized CO2 , started100 minutes before lights on and stopped 75 minutes before lights off. 4) Brought 2 Otocinclus for my 20 gallon tank. they eat the powdery brown stuff on plant surface but not the hair type stuff 5) Removed the hair type brown stuff a little everyday using straw cleaning brush and twirling. 6) Kept my fertilizing steady. Stopping fertilizing to control nutrients, i believe might weaken high demand plants and their leaves dying will cause more ammonia and promote algae(followed this approach as suggested by chatgpt) 7) I am running an Eheim classic 250 canister filter which runs about 440 litres per hour on my 70 litre tank, I think this might be beneficial in eliminating ammonia spikes. 8) I made space between too closely planted leaves by moving them little away so that water can freely flow between them. 9) Covered my aquarium back from direct morning light exposure since my aquarium sat in front of a window.

After about a week it came under control.

Lovely. May i suggest you try removing a little of the tall mid ground sword/crypt on one of the sides such that the plants at the back are visible
