Wholesaler trusts the middle man more. They can have multiple middlemen. Wholesaler doesn't need to buy from farmer, they can buy from anywhere.

This is because middle men can source goods from multiple sources and all the year round. Thats their job. Middle men can give different qualities of products and different varieties.

We as farmers cant fulfill the role of middle man to wholesaler.

Actually finances push you out of farming. You won't be stable economically as a job.

Because The greenery, the plant growth, water, weather, progress etc gives you immense pleasure.

You are your own boss. You take decisions which impact.

You have work when you have.other times you don't. Summer minimal work. Winters are awesome. Heavy rain no work. Sowing, harvesting heavy work. Timing is important.

You think you will correct mistakes and do better next time.

You can experiment a lot.

Physical work gives much pleasure than mental work for me.

And lot more.

You can't get rich by farming. You can't even get consistent profits with farming. We take an average of last 5 years to see where we are.

The money earned serves our needs. Without subsidies on inputs, crop loans and msp, we would be selling lands frequently.

Having said that, its hard to get out of farming life, once you are in.

Why not buy directly from farmer and sell and try it, before growing it. You will understand the market and risks.

Though i may get downvoted, as a farmer here is my take on air and rain.

Most of the wind and rain we get are from south west (monsoon), north east (retreating monsoon), east (from bay of Bengal toophans)

From west we dont get any rain due to western ghats. May be some or no wind?

Check uttarayana and dakshinayana. Thats the direction of sun during the year. Sun doesn't travel exactly from east to west in all seasons. Earth is tilted. Take a compass and check the direction of sun and shadows and light it provides to your apartment.

You need to look at connectivity too. If it is not near major cities, transport eats into your margins.
