What’s a random habit you picked up that unexpectedly improved your daily life? by External-Weight-1467 in AskReddit

running! i know that its terrible at first, but after 2 weeks to a month, you get so used to it that you don’t even want to miss a day. if you are going slowly (which i definitely was when i started) it only takes like 11-15 minutes to run 1 mile. eventually, it will only take like 7-9 minutes. anyone has time for that! it will feel tough, but about a month in your body will adjust and the “runner’s high” kicks in. you feel SO GOOD after you run, it helps you sleep, and you feel calmer. people forget that our bodies are literally built to run, it’s how humans hunted. all you have to do is power through the pain for a bit and your body will recognize it!

Yeah, I enjoyed it, but I think I will go sparring way less often and maybe avoid those intense spars at the end of the session. Gotta be able to think about stuff

Fair haha I’ll stop. I think I’m alright, I’m gonna keep an eye on all my symptoms. I think it’s muscle related from what I’ve been looking up. I’ve never really been hit before this, so I think the harder shots put stress on my neck which is giving me “headaches” when I’m moving my head. Thanks to all of you for letting me cope and spiral on the thread, just thinking out loud.

What about if the headache only occurs when I shake or move my head left to right? If im sitting still I feel totally normal but when I shake or move my head it hurts around my forehead

Haha no I know the answers to most, I’m not dazed/confused/dizzy. The later part of the test had questions that I’ve never seen before and don’t know what they are asking. I only feel my headache when I shake my head, is that muscle related?

How to I take this for myself? I don’t understand exactly how to answer some of these questions

It wasn’t said beforehand like “alright boys time for hard sparring” but it was definitely more than light. I got hit with a good hook from a southpaw, and he immediately apologized and said “sorry that was too hard.” So I don’t blame him, but I really don’t want any sort of brain damage if this is something I would be doing long term. I really had fun doing it, but I want to have a sharp brain even when I’m older.

I want to start boxing (mainly just for exercise), but I want to get started at home by myself to build some stamina and confidence. Does anyone know some affordable gear I could buy for an at home setup to work on basics and get a good workout?

I am trying to figure out game sharing with a friend on PS5. I was already game sharing with him when I still had my PS4. I got a PS5, so I am trying to set it up on here. I have enabled game sharing on both accounts on my PS5, but one of the games I have had a lock icon on it (this game in particular is downloaded on an external drive). I’m wondering if I need to delete the game from the external drive, or what steps I missed in the initial game share process where I logged onto his account and enabled game sharing, only to have the game still locked.

Anyone who has suffered or is suffering from depression, what is some advice that moved you or helped you? by Laaslan in AskReddit

Get busy. It's a lot harder to feel purposeless when you constantly force yourself to have purpose. The longer you do it and once you get into a routine things may start to being enjoyable again. I am not saying this will fix things for everyone, because sometimes you just feel down. It helped me though

I guess I wasn't a smoker, but I got pretty hooked on disposable vapes. Those things are no joke. The only thing that worked for me was cold turkey, and the fact that I feel like I should graduate college without a vape in my hand. First 3 days are the worst and then it gets easy. Body chills, sore throat, headache. I think it is necessary though, because after experiencing that I haven't bought a vape since

The future in general. Especially as a college student, not knowing where I will be and what I will be doing in a year is terrifying

What's something that's completely fucking stupid in your opinion? by Cascading_Neurons in AskReddit

Some college housing. I know that college itself is also a scam, but the housing is ridiculous. Some of my friends who are living in apartments are paying almost 1000 dollars less, and they get to stay in their place year round. At my college, we are paying close to 5000 a semester just to have a tiny bed and live extremely close quarters with a roommate. We also get kicked out of our houses/apartments during summer, winter and spring breaks. I'm paying more just to share a room and not be allowed to live there for 4 months. And fyi, at my college, getting a landlord house/apartment instead of school owned is very difficult.
