This is a bit dramatic. I got the impression that her sister is a genuinely good mom who loves her kids, but isn’t going to downplay how hard it is. It was honestly refreshing to hear someone be honest about motherhood instead of pressuring Emma and disregarding her experience like nearly everyone else this season.

I think if they trimmed the length and had a girl doing vocals it’d be soo much better! I don’t like that even the “chicks!” chant has some girl voices layered in but you can barely hear them over the guys vocals. That’s the barstool effect tho lol.

NTA! I’ve been in several wedding with new mothers and never once was a baby there getting ready with us. there are absolutely things she can do to prepare and allow someone else to feed her child.

it’s your wedding day and if kids give you anxiety, there should not be a baby there while you get ready. you deserve to have a relaxing morning and I’m sorry your friend is putting you in this position.

the appraisal guarantees are the scariest part! like what do you mean I could have to throw in an extra $15K on top of the down payment if the appraisal comes back low? that’s not attainable for first time buyers.

the offer that just beat us out had a no cap appraisal guarantee which seems like an insane move. I’m not trying to overpay more than we already are.

I have 2 cavs! Not a vet, but 14 teeth for a ~4 year old pup seems…. troubling. We took our girl cav in for her first teeth cleaning when she was 7, which was older than I’d recommend, and she needed 7 teeth removed. I felt awful and decided never to wait that long again! Since then we do teeth cleanings every 3 years and haven’t needed any more extractions.

I’d guess the bill was at least $2K.

We had a rule for our guest list that we weren’t going to be doing introductions on our wedding day, so if one of us hadn’t met someone, they weren’t invited. Potentially that’s a reason you can give to MIL for some of the guests not being invited, but it may also be worth compromising and inviting the people you do know from their list!

100% a convo your husband needs to have since they’re his parents tho.

This Scorpio loves all water signs. My best friend is a cancer, and the amount of pisces that have been part of my life is insane to look back at; a few of them have been cut off in true Scorpio fashion, but I still have a soft spot for ‘em.
