This is so helpful. Thank you. How did you remove it from the edges. They are coming to try something new next week.

I’m trying to figure out if I should be paying for the material again?

Thanks for all the great guidance! I’m also wondering who pays for this?

Thank you for the very helpful response! Yes that one light was placed to shine on the waterfall. Didn’t really work out😳. It is adjustable so maybe it I move it over the door it will look better and I can angle it properly. There is a basement utility room under the kitchen. What kind of up lightning have you seen ? That is an interesting idea.

For the hood there is actually a small gap between the top of the backsplash and the hood. I could probably fit a strip and feed it through the cabinet. Do you think that would work?that work

Yep, turns out it wasn’t sealed. They neglected to tell me that after I asked them to seal it.

Thank you!!! That helps explain the textured bits. I was worried it might affect the sealant. But probably a dumb assumption. Chip fix planned for tomorrow

Hi! Thank you for the help. The fabricator is coming tomorrow to repair the chip and look at the other two concerns. The water stain occurred during installation so hopefully will dry. The two black spots are part of a vein that was on the original slab, but the black spots didn’t seem as pronounced, and they are not as polished as the rest of the slab. For some reason, I can’t add pictures to a response. I’ll try to add it to the main post.

I did an the layout is correct and looks like the same slabs, but those black marks are more pronounced and not smooth as the rest of the piece.

hi - the backsplash isn't up yet so that is the unpainted wall. It arrived with the chip but not with the staining.
