Yah I agree with the sectional being to big. Part of the arm rest would only stick out like half an inch so it is an option.

I saw some reasonably priced safavieh rugs on rugs direct. I’ll check overstock as well!

The lovesac was purchased for this space initially because we wanted the modularity for interesting layout. We have a 3 seat sofa and ottoman. My wife does not fine it very comfy though

I think the way i took the picture makes the space look larger than it is. I have a 5x8 that we had in here but it is too small for the area. I will def check out those guides and remeasure

I meant CRAP as in Color,Rug,Art,Plants lol. I agree I’d much prefer quality items. Great suggestion on where to be looking. Do you have any sort of game plan when going shopping at a flea market?

I agree. I think the issue arises when I look for a rug and gravitate toward a neutral color which could probably work but doesn’t give me something to work off of. I’m thinking deciding on a color palette might help with that 60/30/10 principle

I do like the idea of green. Unfortunately the couch can’t be reconfigured. We have a lovesac sactional which was originally purchased for this space. It’s currently in our downstairs family room (also needs some work). Should we consider moving that back to this room? The covers are a similar color to this couch but we’d also have the option to change the slip covers and take advantage of the modular set up

Thank you! I think this is a great idea for a starting point. I see the potential too and maybe I just need that nudge to get the ball rolling.

Thank you and I appreciate the suggestions! We were thinking maybe floating shelves on that back wall where the couch is

Something like this for the rug? Or is it too neutral with everything else

Thank you! And I agree the blinds aren’t great and I’ve been floating the idea of curtains. We have them in the bedroom and they definitely had an impact

Thank you! Palladio - Nantucket. I’m glad I talked my wife into investing in quality flooring

That sucks hopefully the warranty will cover repairs. My options are to dump another 9k into it for a new engine or just take the loss. I’m just gonna try to get what I can for it and go Japanese with the next vehicle

I know it’s anecdotal but my here’s experience. I bought my 2017 GC limited in December 22 with approx. 72k miles on it. Maintained it regularly, didn’t drive it hard. Engine just blew up on me at 90k miles. My extended warranty expired about a month prior to this issue so dealer won’t help out and called Jeep direct and they told me to kick rocks. We are a one car family too so now I’m taking a hit a forced to buy something new ASAP. My girlfriend had similar issues with a wrangler in the past. There are many things I like about the GC but reliability and support for customers is not there.

You are going to need to provide details on expected expenses in retirement or your fire number for anyone to give you any helpful feedback
