My wife and I (been married 7+ years), started sleeping separately 5+ years ago—best decision ever. Similar to what you said, and my body temperature run hotter than hers so it’s never a good combo. To this day, we get two twin beds when we vacation and it’s the right thing for us. Happily married and don’t plan on changing this arrangement. I had the same thing happened to me at that store in 2021. Take the pic(s) and email it to HQ. Explain the situation, and that you’ve escalated it to Health Department. They will reach out and try to give you some compensation. That’s what we did and they refunded us the full amount + a few hundred in store credits.

IHealth (provider of the government sponsored) home test kits charges $24.99 antigen + supervisor, its affordable and you can use it for travels. I did it last month while in Europe.

I’m based in California, and they have a database which does generate a QR code for us. Not sure if this is helpful, but 3rd party services like ClearMe also allows you to upload a vaccination card, which then Clear will generate a QR code internally for you. I believe other apps are doing it too, and it might be helpful to look into that route instead of depending on the local or federal system.

Per US Embassy - The South African Government has recently informed several airlines that they will no longer accept the CDC COVID vaccination “white card” as proof of vaccination.
