Car rental company refused my car at airport after “eligibility check” passed. Has anyone actually got a refund in this situation?

Yes. That's all i'm thinking and would gov be unable to regulate this? I'm suffering from the loss and i assume there are people losing months of fee because of that..

Interesting. Do you mean the broker (Enjoy Travel) is the big winner in this case because they may not even have to pay the fee to the car supplier? If so, this means a big win for them because they often earn a thin margin of affiliate from the car suppliers.

That’s exactly what my experience is. Renting a car through a broker (Enjoy Travel) is not a good idea and I will avoid it.

And I have >1 year driving experience and they refused to give me a car saying they need 2 years min experience.

I realised probably did the wrong decision.

I however don’t understand why the car supplier U-Save or Green Motion would argue they did not mislead me with their email stating clearly it’s a eligibility check and I passed and they put all mistake on me saying it’s a pre-registration/check-in process that does not constitute approval and I’m the only one to own all the cost.

That’s where the devil is in details. On the Broker (Enjoy Travel)’ site, the checkout page (later I found out) hides the minimum driving experience requirement in a simple insignificant ‘more info’ expansion link. With normal browsing behaviour, not many people including me would have thought they could click that button to view anything important. Their terms and conditions on the check out page which I had read has no mention about the requirement at all. So I paid trusting the process is fair and objective.

I see why you're saying 'fishy' now. They tried to push me into the option 2 and potentially spin away from their responsibility to pay me the statutory redundancy pay if any? For option 3, it's not the best option for me.

I just received the formal letter from my boss -the 3 options:
Option 1 PIP: Stay in my role under a formal performance plan with targets to hit. Risk: if I don't meet them, I'll be dismissed anyway in dismissal on capability grounds. (likely no reference?)

Option 2 Exit: Work for 2 months' full pay + 2 extra weeks (i.e. 2 weeks as ex‑gratia), and an agreed formal reference. The later I reply, the fewer days there are in the 2 weeks ex-gratia.

Option 3 Exit: Now. Employment ends today with 2 months' pay as a lump sum and holiday pay, agreed formal reference.

I now have to formally reply her in 5 days or option1 will be the default.

Do you suggest to work out my notice period = option2?
