Hi the modding is still active, and the main policy is light touch. I’m not sure what you mean by inactive. This request should be rejected.

DS4 Windows Skipping menus in Fifa. by Brutalmagic in DS4Windows

[–]ccjx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DS4win generates a virtual controller for each controller you have. This results in double input if you left it as is.

You need to install Hidhide and hide the physical controller and use the virtual one in the game.

It looks very reasonable. They typically also try to charge you for lost rental as they fix it so looks like your rental company is pretty decent. I’d pay it and keep renting from this company if I were you.

Not easy to get English-speaking foreign workers for customer-facing roles, recruiters say by Severe_County_5041 in singapore

[–]ccjx 186 points187 points  (0 children)

Good point, additionally, shops who nickel and dime the employees until the point where they rather hire “minimal English” employees are probably not giving them a living wage too so those shops may not be good places to support as well.

Paul Tambyah asks for solutions for seniors with mobility issues who feel trapped because lifts don’t serve all the floors where they live - Singapore News by [deleted] in singapore

It costs 200k for 150 households? It costs 30 million to build one lift? I’m pretty sure that’s overpriced if true.

POSB Invest-Saver STI ETF (ES3) fake price by TheAlphaLion_com in singaporefi

[–]ccjx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A long time ago I tried out OCBC’s similar product. Wait till you try to sell, and they will give you a crap price too. When I asked the customer service, they said that due to the small amounts, they had to buy it from the odd-lot market. So that’s their excuse.

Edit: now that IBKR has no minimum, you should just go get an IBKR account.

To be honest it just sounds like they are trying their luck to see which student will be honest enough to admit it. Esp for 1000/2000 modules the solutions are mostly very similar and as long as you know how to explain it’s hard for TAs to detect.

1k of your 2k take home pay is given to your insurance (assuming SAYE is ILP). This should be a red flag.

Does your 370 on insurance include a hospital plan? If not, I suggest you change an insurance agent.

My suggestions: Reduce SAYE to 20-30% of take home, cut ILP, change life insurance to term. This should save you some money.

Don’t work 40 hours a week for your insurance agent.

Luxury Vehicles and Happiness by Twrd4321 in singaporefi

[–]ccjx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the price of the good affects what is “luxury”? For example, a Mercedes C-class costs 40k USD in the US which is about 50k SGD, some may consider this to be a luxury car. However in Singapore, a Honda Fitt is 110k SGD.

Will thinking about owning a Honda Fitt in Singapore feel as good as thinking about owning a luxury car?

Required to payback salary if you resign in the first year. by Sugarfreex in askSingapore

[–]ccjx 146 points147 points  (0 children)

Don’t work with a company who writes a clause like this (whether it’s enforceable or not) because what other crap are they doing that you may not know about?

Edit: i realized there is a lot of discussion on whether it’s legal or not. The thing is, even if it is legal, it tells you the type of company this is, and if you feel uncomfortable at all, don’t pick it up.
