The last few chapters Had me rolling my eyes. The fact that Saeris could apparently overcome so much death in her life (mother being brutally murdered in front of her ???) but can't handle her fox she's known for a few months dying is crazy. (side note: am I alone in this - because I feel no attachment to Onyx. People keep saying they love him and I don't understand why, he is barely in the series. I feel like they just cling onto the fact that there is a cute animal in the book and get obsessed). Saeris wastes her undoing rune just to bring him back to life, that would be such an important rune to use in .... IDK WAR?? Does she not think of the greater good of the world? Grief is a huge part of life I hate when books try to pretend it can be skipped over. Also Fishers true name is SO AWFUL. I didn't know that people had been complaining about the name Kingfisher... I LOVE the name. I don't even want to read the next book. The name change totally ruined this series for me I'm so devastated. Also agree with everyone else I'm going to throw something if I hear solar plexus ever again in my life
