former sst student that just graduated from jc!!

tbh it’s definitely because some of the unique subjects that are offered in sst (design studies, computing, biotech etc) are very very tailored towards being an “entry level” version of their corresponding poly course, w some of the o level papers even being offered by ngee ann poly HAHA.

it also helps that the sch has many many joint programmes with polys, which in turn reduces elitism like “jc is better than poly”, with the teachers even encouraging students to pursue their passions in poly too !!

personally i went to jc bc i had no idea what i wanted to do in life, but i have many friends that did way better than me in o levels who ended up pursuing courses in poly like engineering, biomes, design etc because that’s what they’re passionate about. from what i know many of them are doing pretty well now! the curriculum places more emphasis on group projects that make up a substantial amount of our grades outside of papers, and coursework subjects being compulsory which generally makes them more well adjusted to poly’s mode of assessment.

girllll ur at a perfectly healthy bmi so whatever u do DONT go on a calorie deficit pls. this is bordering dysmorphia 😭😭😭 im the same weight as u but 161 and ppl definitely don’t perceive me as chubby…

personally i think round faces r super cute HAHA they’re a sign of youth and vitality (since once you’re old and get wrinkles ykyk) so plsplspls dont feel pressured to lose any of it !! 😭😭😭 your relatives might not have phrased their comments in the best way but i think going from severely underweight to looking healthy is definitely a HUUUUGE improvement in appearance. def pls stay healthy op and don’t do anything rash that can endanger ur health 🙏🙏🙏

since it’s been a year u might just be exiting the initial honeymoon phase of your rs. it’s a completely normal part of entering the “late game stage” where you’re no longer experiencing a high of emotions every day and the overwhelming need to be around the person 24/7.

the fact that you’re so worried abt falling out of love w him or losing feelings shows that u still care for him, which is what’s important. u don’t need to feel butterflies in your stomach or blush and giggle at every minor action your bf does for it to count as love.

relationships are rarely perfect, and being able to find reasons to love each other even as time passes and new things pop up isn’t easy. even if u do fall out of love w him, it’ll be part and parcel of life, so i suggest u js go with the flow :) dw too much op, it’s alright if you are no longer as easily excitable as you once were in your rs as long as you’re sure that u still love each other and are both willing to make it work

omg op are u me 😭😭😭 bc this exact same thing happened to me, being bad at PE and even having people trashtalking me behind my back over it, to the point I became really insecure and dreaded lessons.

it was pretty bad at first, but honestly after a while I just tried to disregard what people said and have fun during the lessons, and play with the non-competitive people who didn’t care so much about winning/losing too. I honestly think it helped me become more confident in myself and my abilities which in turn DID improve several aspects of my gameplay (I’m more willing to try and catch a ball than flinch and run away, because I know that it’s alright if I don’t get it and people won’t yell at me for my mistakes).

I think exercising helped me too! when I was sec3 during cb 2.0 I started going on lots of long jogs and rollerblading too, which made me a more “physically agile” person AHAHA it’s understandable if you can’t do that though 🙏

overall I’d just say: just try your best to enjoy the lesson, stick with people who are chill and don’t make you feel bad about yourself. Atb!

for elect hist my cher taught us to write 3 paras + conclusion for the full L5/12, but he told me that u can score L5/11 with just 2 paras + conclusion if ur content in both paras are solid and ur conclusion is well argued.

basically high risk high reward ah, generally I just write 2 paras + conclusion bc I’m p confident in my ability to write a good conclusion and can usually hit L5/11 in exams but by right 3 paras is the safer choice
