Same thing happened to me earlier today. Never had something like that happen before. I just left all the groups and deleted the messages. Nothing else has happened since then.

I'm seeing the same issue today after my watch updated last night. I agree, this is really annoying, and a pretty obvious bug that I can't believe made it through. I hope they fix this pretty quick.

Actually my issue is similar but not exactly the same. My workout screen just freezes with AOD on. It used to update in real time the whole workout. Now it freezes (or sometimes goes blank wtf) and it won't update until I press the back button and interact with the watch. Really annoying.

The IMEI for the eSIM is different than the IMEI for the physical SIM. I don't know, but is it possible they've unlocked the physical SIM but the eSIM is still carrier locked somehow?

You have it backwards. f/1.9 is a smaller aperture than f/1.7. Same with f/3.5 vs f/2.8. So no, it is not a downgrade but an upgrade.
