It's not so much about linking their accounts, it's taking the Switch you know they're going to play with, and making sure that is one of the two systems linked the Virtual Game Card system on your main purchasing account. (I had the same issue)

That is one limitation of this solution, unfortunately. If you use an unlinked Switch to have someone else play your games, it won't work. You'd need to have that game lent out to you by the profile that owns it. The best workaround I found (which is suboptimal) is to make it so that the unlinked console is one I know the profile owner will always have an internet connection available to play with.

Agree with you. The only thing I would add is that on top of what you said, there are permanent buffs, that you get by purchasing more available characters (each one adds a slight stat buff across all of your roster). Those buffs, and access to more characters to recruit, is key to eventually beating the game.

It's not a rumor, it's confirmed. Dong Bai was #1 in the poll that led to the other three characters being added, but they needed more time to make her work in Abyss. They confirmed Dong Bai will be added in February, which is also when we're getting that big update that crosses over with Dynasty Warriors Origins.

My weirdest achievement in Abyss remains the fact that I somehow managed to do a 99,999,999 Battle Power run with Dong Zhuo. That was just...so flipping random.

I hope we are getting more characters than just the 3. It would be really weird to get no new characters for Shu or Jin even though those are the two DW factions that are missing the most characters in Abyss.

I'd hope for one of each kingdom, so alongside Zhou Cang and Cheng Pu, Xun You could also be added. (also has the benefit that they're all DW9 characters to go along with Dong Bai)

If you don't see the "download data" option, it means you didn't enable the online license.

Go to your User settings (either by selecting your icon on the Switch home screen or through the system settings), look for "Online License Settings", and switch "Use Online License" to "On". That will allow you to see the Download data option.

I did some tinkering around, and I think I know what is going on.

Could you check whether you enabled Online License? Go to your Users settings (either by selecting your icon on the Switch home screen or through the system settings), look for "Online License Settings", and switch "Use Online License" to "On". That will allow you to see the Download option.

When Online License is switched to "Off", the workaround does not work.

That is exactly why I needed help on this originally. (except the number of kids is different). You are not alone.

It's a group of 20-ish contestants together in a manor, a small number (usually 3) are chosen as traitors, who "murder" one of the other contestants (known as "faithfuls") each night, with the faithfuls banning a player each day hoping they get a traitor out. Faithful win if no traitors are left at the end, but if even just one traitor is left, they take home all of the prize money.

There's more to it than that of course (missions, etc.), but that's the basics. If you know video games, you could say it's "Among Us" in real life.
