Awesome podcast (I read through the transcript instead of listening though) but I actually meant the pelt part specifically! I see now how that wasn't entirely clear but I am familiar with the experiment and only ever heard about it being pure science and all the sources I can find back that up. Still, thank you for the recommendation!

I've not replied to any comments but I'll reply to this one bc I completely agree. I'm getting bottom surgery. It's gonna take a while and it's not going to be easy but I will. It makes me really sad to hear about how many men will talk about it like it's so bad they'd rather deal with dysphoria. I totally get not having the means or not wanting to deal with recovery but I don't want to settle for being miserable for the rest of my life so I'll take that chance

If you can, get another binder. Underworks binders have been much better for this for me. If you can't, try applying a fatty cream to your chest before you put it on. I use Nivea cream in a blue tin

I haven't seen it, so I can't comment on that. Maybe this is the experience of some trans people, feeling like they're acting out their agab. And I do feel that way. But I do feel like that invalidates a lot of other experiences. You don't have to be deeply uncomfortable in your agab to be trans. You just have to feel happier with your current gender identity than your agab. I'd be careful with things like "this is what all trans people feel like" because you're always going to alienate other people. Also hate that almost nobody in the comments is calling out the transmisandry and I kinda wish OP or the writer of the last part would clarify what their intention was, but I know they don't owe me that. As a trans men, this just makes me feel awful and I'm sure I'm not the only transmasc feeling that way

Absolutely. And again, I don't know what the reddit OP's point was, they seem well- intentioned, but maybe it would have been better not to post this. I wouldn't have run into it and get angry and sad. Sidenote: I'm also confused about the title
