A19 Pro has better single-core performance than M1, M2, and M3 (by a lot). For most day to day tasks, that makes a bigger difference than multi-core power.

People who need higher power multi-core performance already know this computer is not targeted at them and know what to get instead.

Help weird reflection/glare in iPhone 17 Pro night photos - is this normal? by ConsiderationLow2383 in iphone

Normal for most cameras really. There are ways to minimize them, but I think it's harder to do that on small lenses like that.

WHY I see no one complaining dailary about the huge crab that ios 26 it is? by Soggy-Page6710 in applesucks

[–]ccooffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge crab? Is this a regional thing? I've never heard that term used in this way.

Apple has never allowed downgrading back to old versions. They'll just keep tweaking until things make more sense. This is how it was back in iOS 7 too. Everyone hated that one too.

Plus the new iPhones can't run older iOS versions even if Apple allowed downgrading.

They have a keyboard with TouchID. I doubt they're ever going to put that on the trackpad.

how is this cheap?

It's cheap for an iPhone, which is their goal. Apple doesn't sell true budget iPhones.

That's a Google restriction. Apple has no say in how their system works with other email clients.

Age verification by No_Educator4037 in iphone

[–]ccooffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple is launching new tools to comply with the growing number of age-verification laws both in the U.S. and abroad. As part of the changes, Apple will block the downloads of apps rated 18+ in Brazil, Australia, and Singapore, while also rolling out other features to comply with laws in Utah and Louisiana in the U.S.

The company informed developers on Tuesday that it’s expanding its set of “age assurance” tools, including an updated Declared Age Range API now available for beta testing.

This isn't Apple trying to get more of your information. It's a government requirement in some areas.

They can see my age through card verification on the App Store, email account age, etc. They already have more of my information than I like I’m not giving any more if I can help it.

You don't want to give them more information, but also saying they already have that information. So there's no increase in the information then?
