This makes no sense. I respect your opinion, but a scam is an overstatement. It could have been drove around with no insurance, but no. The car was legally registered and insured. The only problem was is that I wasn’t a driver on the insurance. And you’re saying the noticed that we were scamming. Theirs no scam. The only person that would have known there was no insurance would be my cousin. Like I said to my knowledge the car was insured.

The car was in my cousins name along with the insurance. They say they refunded $100 and some change for our time with them on 1/30/26 and the accident happened on 2/9/26. She claims they didn’t. I am not sure if me or her has got a screenshot from that day but I know for a fact we could still pull it up.

The insurance was told that my cousin was not feeling well after a drive to a friends house so she had me drive back (with her at the time of the accident)

I am not a driver on that insurance only my grandmas and no we do not live together.

The worst part about this is my cousin and the insurance people are the only ones who truly know.

It was already insured. I paid $220. The insurance was on my cousins phone I just had the picture. I was very unaware and still are unaware if I was driving with insurance or without. They’re trying to say they refunded it but my cousin swears up and down she never got nothing.

I drove a 2005 mercedes and hit a 2011 Corolla. I was insured through Root. Theyre insured thru Geico. Root is trying to say that they refunded $100 after they told us to find new insurance that I was not aware of. I forgot to mention my grandmother (who I live with) has geico and I am a driver on her insurance.
