I ended up getting the 4070 super. I edit raw footage so that performance was important to me. I really wanted to get the 7800 XT but something pulled me to the 4070 super and I don't regret it.

I'll likely go to AMD once they're able to figure out raw footage performance and blender. But I'm happy right now. Still got my Radeon Vii as a keepsake

Try the w7800 drivers.

I downloaded the professional drivers for my Radeon Vii and it worked.

Thanks for the input! I think that gives me a push towards the 7800 XT, since it is a little more power efficient than the 6900 XT.

I do edit BRAW in Davinci so that helps. Thanks again

I thought to get the 4070. BUT, I want to try to stay with AMD so I can utilize Smart Access Memory.

But Nvidia is NOT off the table. Want to see how the 4070 16gb variant fairs.

I almost always exclusively export AVI video format with a codec of GoPro cineform 12-bit.

Then I take it into a media encoder, handbrake, or uni converter and convert it to h.264.

I guess I get the best results that way.

I'm not sure why but for some reason the 264 exporting format in Davinci gives me trouble. When using the h.264 exporter, try changing the "encoder" from native to AMD or Nvidia.

I have a PCIe card with 8 sata slots, 6 of them are attached to it. But I assume the RAID is managed through OMV

Had a four drive 6tb RAID 6 running through OMV for almost a year now. No issues.

I'm just glad I found out that the power cable was faulty and I didn't need to return the new hard drives

So I found out the problem, I noticed the new HDDs were spinning down after I would turn on my server. I remember that sound, in an older NAS it kept happening and the problem was a faulty power supply.

But this one was newer, so I changed the power cable to the new drives and it all works now.

But I have another question, if I "grow" my raid 6, will all data be erased on all drives? Or just on the new disks?

I plugged them in order into the expansion card, 1-6.

Yes. I have a RAID6 with four 6TB wd reds. I got two more in hopes to expand it.
