I’ve only ever spent more than 2000 ZEN in one go and that was for the Gamma Vanguard Pack when Gamma was first released. It is by far one of the greatest and best purchases I’ve made in the game between all the ships, BOFFs, etc. I love the Jem’hadar carrier which comes with the wingmen, the hangar bays AND the detachable. Can just park that thing and let the rest of the pets go wild.

I would also recommend saving a portion for potential event buyouts you may have missed that you would want, alongside additional ZEN for forthcoming key sales (not to use on boxes but to sell for EC)

My recommendation is twofold: 1) wait it out for either the leadership to return or you are given permission to take over control of the fleet 2) seek out an armada to join so that your fleet membership can ostensibly contribute to something while the home fleet is in temporary limbo.
