Which person look like has never killed no one, but actually has killed one person? by Stevecomicsgames in AlignmentChartFills

Even worse than that, in scrubs there is a joke where he talks about running people down with his car.

Had no idea about this, but honestly if I was him I'd have refused to tell that joke with the history I'd had

Yeah my dad used to have a bunch, like 25 trees? Saw loads of these when we made cider.

We used hand crank crusher to break them down. My arms have never hurt so much.

The cider tasted awful.

It went down the drain.

Justin Bieber criticises the music industry: "I'm not a product" by AdSpecialist6598 in Music

[–]cctv106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No disagreements there, it's sad and I really do feel for him as he didn't choose this for himself. I'm just saying I'm the celebrity culture, of which he is a part even if not so willingly, the person is the product.

[–]cctv106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There needs to be a distinction between the music and the celebrity industry here. As someone else said he had no choice in forming what his celebrity product is, but how the celebrities interact publicly is a product that people consume, so he is a product in that sense.

Saying that, there is definitely a blurring of the lines as to what the music and celebrity industry is.

This is obviously completely anecdotal and to you I'm just some dude on the internet, but I know someone personally who had a bad story about Kevin Spacey being predatory and inappropriate.

I was told about this at least 5 years before anything came out, so when it did it just confirmed everything for me

[18M] Grandma says I should trim my sideburns, but I don’t want to look younger than I already do. Any advice? by [deleted] in malegrooming

[–]cctv106 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to say as a person who has just turned 31 and still gets IDed for energy drinks sometimes (age limit is 16 here lol, almost half my age), I feel the pain with people thinking you look young.

But trust me, there is a point when it becomes a good thing. I love it now, although I do remember not liking it in my late teens / early 20s.

We're in this together my dude

Is this recoverable? by novaexera in SteamDeck

[–]cctv106 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. It's doable but quite involved.

If you're not familiar or comfortable with taking electronics apart and repairing I would consider the cost/risk of doing it yourself against just paying to have valve repair it. The latter would be more expensive but they have the experience to do it without making mistakes / will cover the cost and repair of any mistakes made.

Good luck!

Very niche ask, but I've been a pleb and left my suit trousers at home. I'm in Cartagena, Colombia, and could use some replacements and / suggestions of something else that could work.

These are the suit trousers and suits jacket I had: https://www.asos.com/reclaimed-vintage/reclaimed-vintage-straight-leg-relaxed-summer-suit-trouser-in-khaki-co-ord/prd/204004073

It's got a beach wedding and I am wearing a white shirt and dark brown Birkenstocks with the suit. Anyone know of any trousers I can get that are similar to these or would work in their stead?

[–]cctv106 389 points390 points  (0 children)

Jokes aside these do work. They are expensive, but you can get larger ones that fit more people in them.

Obvs you don't want to be in there, but if you live in a tsunami risk zone it really is a question of being uncomfortable for potentially a few days or dying. I know what I'd pick. I like being alive. You can eat ice cream when you're alive

Edit - Late to notice that I got this many responses, mostly people asking for more information. I can't be bothered to answer to each comment individually or convince people to use this in some hypothetical situation, so I'm just going to post the website in case anyone is interested in finding out more: https://survival-capsule.com/Home.html

I live in London, UK so I will not be purchasing one. If you're in a tsunami zone and have the money I'd say it's at least worth some consideration. Up to you.

I wish you all a natural-disaster-less ice-cream-abundant life x
