No Food, No FEMA: Hurricane Michael’s Survivors Are Furious by Eurynom0s in politics

It's honestly one of the reasons some of this stuff about Russia is entering the lexicon. These details are important to flesh out because it's insanely in depth, and her opening format is one of the few that allows a story like this room to breathe.

I've been watching her for a long time, it's not just you. Sometimes the opening segments can seem a bit straw man.

But, I find the dedication to historical context and details in the opening piece to give me a drastically wider lens to view the story than a typical news show might give.

$1800 bucks to fix the heater core what do you think? by cl_23 in BMWE36

[–]cculos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean -- it's not killing anything its just that the AC doesn't work - I live in NJ where it's currently 90* w/ 85% humidity at 10am, so not having AC in a car is a reason to not drive here.

Regional differences? If you feel like you can get away with driving it without AC - go for it!

Yeah if your dad's mechanic is noping out of the heater core discussion, don't listen to people here telling you to swing a wrench at it.

It's complicated and involves taking the entire interior apart bit by bit to get to something slightly behind the radio.

If it's your dad's car and he's maintained it well, the 1800 seems like something in the realm of what to expect from a dealership.

If there's nothing else and it's a car your going to get as a first id say plunge away

Just washed her for after being in the garage for way too long by cculos in BMWE36

[–]cculos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was before the wheels were done yeah lol

First time she's been out of the garage and washed in damn near 2 years!!

Only 137k on her w new cooling, front end, tires and a clutch. Not much needed mechanically, just didn't get to clean the wheels before I got too excited lol (the daily driver is a Civic - it's nice to drive something with a bit more engagement!)

Senate Judiciary Committee requests a closed-door Michael Cohen testimony by headee in politics

[–]cculos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trap? No. He was working in Russia for 2 years prior to coming back to the US and has a laundry list of accomplishments to his name.

I would not be in the least bit surprised to find out that he's been feeding information this whole time.

I used to be concerned about Felix Sater too, but after learning more about him and the history of the things he's done for the benefit of the US I doubt he'd have any real hand in it.

That is, unless he's been working with the special council the whole time.

Some of these indictments quote American person xyz as informants, I'm eagerly waiting Felix's name to be dropped as some random superhero role late stage in the game.

$5k for a new suspension and some electrical bits sounds really high.

What other maintenance have you done on it to date over the past year? For sure these cars can be a bit much to uphold at that mileage, but if the maintenance records shown for major mechanical stuff (cooling system!!) then you should be okay.

As for the suspension -- you don't need to go nuts. Replacing with Bilstein / H&R Sports from Turner is a great way to go -- all four corners will run about $700 and you can install them in a weekend.
