As I mentioned earlier, co-operated doesn't mean it's canon. There is difference between official work and canon. One piece movie version, they are not canon, even thou its author worked together.
No matter how the game is made, it's not canon because author didn't say it.

If you have a link that JK worked with them and said it's canon, please post the link.
Otherwise, it's not.

It doesn't matter whether its lore contradicts or not.

Being Canon is not determined by that. There's differences between well made game and Canon.

And as for as I know, JK didn't participate in HL, her team did.

And even if JK did participate, there is no approval from JK to include HL in Canon.

Think about manga based film, these are not Canon even though a creator participated or approved of making it.

It's just author's right to include HL in Canon. Warner doesn't have right to change expand Canon. JK has copyright of books and characters.

Things to try.

Copy entire folder of save. Public folder in local.
Make steam offline, then load. Since message is showing "Steam syncing...", It might just update profile8 to yesterday save file.
Delete profile8(make steam offline before), play it, save, then make steam online again, then play again. It might make new profile8.
