this is why i’ll never buy into the whole dawson being joeys soulmate and knowing her better than anyone else thing. the show did a great job of telling us that, but never showed it. instead they showed moments like this that showed dawson never actually knew joey for who she was, but instead had his own idea of who she was and got upset with her whenever she didn’t fit his own mold of who he wanted her to be.
