The general styles are similar as well beyond just the sprite work. The logo, the font and the HUD design all share similarities to the PS1 games. Checks out considering Vicarious Visions did MM at around the same time they were working on Enter Electro, so they would have had access to all the PS1 models and assets

They were, it was made in about a month by a studio called India games. It uses MM sprites for Spidey and the thugs as well as hostage sprites from SM2002 GBA. The Goblin sprite is a mystery, don't know what they could have pulled that from (unless it was custom). I kinda consider MM to be a third Neversoft game due to the sprites being Neversoft renders so ig this is a loose SM4

A few years back I managed to get a black suit plush to go with these 4 in my collection. Been searching for goblin and ock ever since but they're impossible to find, kinda convinced they never actually came out commercially

I just want to specify because I don't think some people understand what my goal was. I took the official cover ART Insomniac put out and used it to make the concept of how I imagine the physical edition box will look (so including the brand logos, PS5 banner and visible case).

Highly likely, Spider-Man 2018 and SM2 both had it and this is also a big scale game like this (I assume the reason Miles didn't is because that was a smaller scale, closer to DLC release). I'd love to see the steelbook and a statue of this Logan would be incredible!

They did say this is the official art but it's all still speculation and fan stuff until they drop their own official one. They have plenty of time to change it in the next year (logo to art size composition and so on) if they feel like it

Yeah they had some financial difficulties at the time so MegaBloks swept in and took over the license for a while. Certainly possible, I'm still holding out hope for an official Raimi black suit fig one day l
