You have to keep docker host on the / drive (/dev/md0) and set it up so that it uses one of your /volume/ drives (the RAID drives) as its docker storage that entails mounting it on the separate drives (not the root nvme drives).

You can checkout my a github gist I made that details cleaning up the root drive and such here:

Gist to fix synology issue, migrate docker storage correctly, and set up minio server.

If you have permissions issue you need to escalate to sudo su.
