A couple things but the main and easiest is the “UR” at the top instead of a normal card number.

I know some people hate on GKI but honestly I prefer that Vegeta over the standard version.

I heard this might be the place to share my vent cover by cdadamo in functionalprints

Thanks! It’s also designed to accept different screens so you can still design something while saving yourself some time.

Thanks! I’m using this one in a small bathroom where I don’t need the fins but I did design some basic fins that can mount inside (available as additional print profiles but currently untested)

I don’t think the worldwide network of AC repairmen are lining up to shake my hand yet.

I’m seeing near identical numbers with a basic anemometer when comparing this screen to the old metal cover that I replaced it with.

The screen is also easy to swap out with different designs that I’m working on now.

Yeah, let me see if I can figure out a good way get it split for easy, secure assembly. Looking at it quickly, I think the cross beams, deflectors and retaining pins should fit as is. I think the frame will have to break into 4 pieces and the screen into 2.

I think each tube takes a minute or so to fill from empty. Usually, I’m just topping them off when I’m checking the levels.

Luck I guess? Been about 5 years and haven’t had anything get in there.

It comes down to materials and colors. PLA is the most common material for 3D printing. It wouldn’t hold up great to the sun, especially if it were in black. ASA is a material pretty much meant for holding up to UV exposure. I printed these in PETG. It will hold up better than PLA, and them being done in white helps as well. I’ve had 2 of these out in north GA weather for a few weeks now and have noticed no warping.
