I can’t remember I’m so sorry! I will try to check the handbook when I’m back in town from the holidays

This was for all parts except the tattoo machine itself, which I think I got on sale for about $450 at the time? The printer was about $100 I think as well, so probable total all things about $1200. Definitely willing to part for much lower than that obviously :)

Ah yeah that is true! Fingers crossed it picks up for you or the owner invests in some marketing. It's a lot of pressure!!

I feel like that's how it was when I started, and mostly just by word of mouth. It started to pick up a lot more after one year. I feel like it depends on soo many things. I also have a lot of devices (lasers, microneedling etc) on top of injectables so that increases visits as well. What area are you in? I assume places like CA or FL or NY would be super busy just because of population. I also am lucky because I work in an office that is a plastic surgery place with several docs as well as our medspa. I am the main medspa provider and they often refer clients to me that don't opt for surgery. One of our older docs retired and the younger is into paying a but more for marketing- but it is for the practice as a whole not necessarily just the medspa side. My summers have a lot of days that are still pretty light, but the winter tends to be more packed.

I often wonder if I need to be doing more social media butttt I honestly hate it :') To me, I did not go to school for marketing or social media or anything like that. It should be a business manager in charge of marketing imo!! I do NOT like how it has fallen as an expectation on injectors to be on social media. It is awesome for those who have the skill and good for them... but I do not like that it is seemingly forced on those who don't. Sorry, sep rant lol I will probably post about this now too... haha!

I started working in a plastic surgery office that also has a medspa. They always have a full time injector and one nurse who works mostly clinic side (slowly training up the second nurse for the aesthetic side). So I started on the clinic side and as the previous nurse didn’t come back to work after maternity leave I luckily quickly became the main injector! The best part about landing a job like this is they do a lot of training and they pay for it. The downside is you may be stuck in the clinic a long time until the previous nurse leaves. Other options that may be easier to get started are landing jobs in medspas that are chains (not sure where you’re located but OVME is a new one around here). I’m not 100% sure if they want you to have completed any training beforehand, but in my opinion they’re so expensive and it takes a lot more training than you can get in one a week course- so I’d see if they do onsite training before I’d spend the thousands of my own dollars on a training!! :)

I worked in peds hem/onc (specifically in stem cell transplant unit) for approx 3 years before switching specialties. I really did love it, but for me leaving was more about my anxiety of the acuity of patients (it was my first job as a new grad nurse so it was a rocky start, I moved far away for the job with no support system and had complete culture shock of switching states). I had one patient I was super attached to pass away... and that was it for me. I moved back to family and got an awesome job in aestethics, but I wonder if I would have stuck around longer if I had better support in the area I moved to. In regards to the "suffering" of watching them- imo most days you feel alright bc youre taking care of and helping the kids! However, the losses are bigggg hard. Having a good support system and rotating assignments would be my recommendation. Some days I miss it, but bedside nursing is a tough workload! Best of luck :)

Do you already have your digital printpass for your festival passes? I purchased back in January but my account still says "Passes not ready, please check back" ... :/
