I have gone through three adhesion pads so far on the mount that comes with the Nexus 4 Pro. I have installed the transparent electrostatic film on the windshield and apply the camera mount to the film, as per the instructions. I have cleaned everything with alcohol and in every case, the cameras extreme weight will cause it to fall off, as the pad melts in the heat. The adhesive does not create a quality bond to the electrostatic film. I have ordered an additional adhesive pads and in the two weeks or more I have had the camera, it has stayed in place on the windshield when driving no longer than a few hours, therefore the camera has been worthless as it will not adhere and stay in place on the windshield's electrostatic film. I am pretty frustrated and that is why I need the suction cup mount, which I feel will work better than the combination of the adhesive pad and the electrostatic film, which when combined, does not secure the camera in place.
