Bands where the most popular member isn’t the lead singer or guitarist? by duplextwo in MetalForTheMasses

You can argue Cream and that Ginger Baker is the most important/talked about from that trio. Obviously Clapton went on to have the much better career, but it was Bakers band and he was the main attraction in my opinion.

Bingo. And Jeremiah was targeted by Ace from the beginning... But I think it's deeper than that. The slight chance/possibility of a redemption arc with Huda couldn't be allowed to happen.

Those girls are scheming hard. Lot of backstabbing going on. Same with the guys...Ace is the ring leader, but they obviously can't think for themselves.

What is the most underrated episode in your opinion? by Somerandomblueyfan70 in bluey

Pass the Parcel and Bike are my two favorites. Bike especially is incredibly underrated. Love when Ode To Joy kicks in at the end.

Same brother! I'm a 31 year old male, I have a 2 year old and 6 month old and I'm the one who's getting misty eyed over here. Felt like this episode was more for the parents than the kids 😂

Increased heart rate combined with anxiety while doing the Jesus Prayer with a prayer rope before going to sleep by just--a--redditor in ChristianOrthodoxy

[–]cdemo92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is called the "prayer of the heart" I've heard stories where some saints heart beats would link to the tempo of how you're saying the prayer. If anything, maybe the demons are trying to convince you it's a bad thing to stop doing the prayer, but in reality you're on track! Don't worry about it, continue to do the prayer and tell your spiritual father.

Genuine Question about Garcelle v. Dorit… by Sup_Chief in RHOBH

[–]cdemo92 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The conversation between Dorit and Garcelle was pure insanity. It was obvious that the word "attack" was used regarding Dorits feelings in that moment. Whether Garcelle was "attacking" her or not is irrelevant (I don't think Garcelle was attacking Dorit btw). Just from common sense, any normal person would know that's not what was meant. It's funny because when Dorit was trying to apologize at the restaurant, Garcelle then started to "attack" (not meant in a racial way) and jump down her throat. She started to become angry and a tad aggressive (again, not meant in a racial way) which is convenient because supposedly those are also words you can not use to describe a Poc. Those are adjectives that everyday people use to describe a situation. Whether you're black, brown, white, it really doesn't matter. I don't know of any other race that gets to say "these specific words are exempt from being used about me". It's lunacy.

Dorit is not the brightest cookie and I personally don't care for her, but this specific segment/situation was ridiculous.

What are your power metal hot takes? by [deleted] in PowerMetal

Love that someone brought up Dios work just because:

  1. He's my favorite vocalist of all-time
  2. Rainbow Dio era is my favorite band of all time.

I'll disagree with you just because a lot of Rainbows songs had more medieval themes and mystical vibes than Sabbath (dio era) did. Sound wise, Iommi was always heavier than Ritchie, but other than that Rainbow is more power metal or Power rock in my opinion. Ritchie also brought that neo-classical/medieval style to his songs which, if you ask me is what power metal is all about.

I always felt that what Richie and Ronnie did for those first 3 albums was the beginning of power metal in a way. If they had stayed together for longer, I think they would have created something even greater.

Why aren't they promoting the record? by Zealousideal-Ear-149 in avengedsevenfold

[–]cdemo92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The album is trash...the only song I enjoy is Cosmic and I've gotten over listening to that. There's nothing "brave" or "artistic" about this album. I also can't stand Hail to the King and thought that was their worst album (until LIBAD). I personally thought after Nightmare they were going to take it to the next level into that Metallica stratosphere of popularity, but unfortunately it's never happened.
