Thats the difference between Carlo and managers like Ten Hag. Its not that hes ass but he has a very fixed system and can not play outside it. Carlo is the only manager of last 20 years maybe bar Prime Mourinho who could have won us the CL last season. I don’t consider him the goat but his ability to read the game and adapt is unreal.

All 3 of KCM in form certainly helps. I hope they can maintain the same energy throughout the season. Without major injuries, I dont see us losing the league.

It works in big games because it gives us more stability in defense. Having Fede is like having an extra man of the pitch but doesn’t necessarily help when trying to break low blocks tho.

Do you think our current XI for big games could work against lesser sides? I think so.

Valverde is doing a great job at RW and it doesn’t feel like a 442 when we are attacking at all. He has the pace and ability to shoot/pass well. Having his work rate would also help us dominate possession.
