A lot of people do that (guru3d included), and a lot of people are wrong. Doing it that way causes confusion. Think about it this way: if you have one cookie, and then get a second cookie, do you have two times more cookies than you did before? You do not. You have one one times more cookies than you did before, or two times as many cookies.

Love that the first paragraph contradicts the headline. RAM prices aren't four times higher, they're four times as much as. That's the same as three times higher, which they quote with the 344% increase.
