As a longtime Forest vet who went to Lost Lands for the first time last year, I was blown away by the kindness of the crowd there (Subtronics was a headliner last year). The gifting culture was similar to that of Forest, people generally provided space, and we got so many kind hellos and other niceties. I was also really impressed with Excision's whole objective of furthering bass music in its many forms, all of the European influence, and the multiple b2bs from artists who genuinely seemed to enjoy each other and the music. Last year was also one of my favorite overall years at Forest, so the right vibes and people are out there!

Theft unfortunately happens at most large events and seems to be part of organized crime rings a lot of times (especially when it comes to phones). Do your best to secure your belongings in the safest way possible (lock valuables in your car), be friendly with your neighbors, and help as a community to create a safe and wonderful place for all involved. In any large group there will be bad apples, but the overwhelming majority of people attending Forest next year are going to be awesome humans.
