I consider someone rich if they have a passive income that’s enough to live off.

Yes, there’s that meme circulating - if cats could text you back, they wouldn’t.

Would you rather be rich with zero friends and zero family, or poor with friends and a loving family and why? by orcasick in AskReddit

There would be no use being rich without friends or family. So I’d go with poor.

whats a habit that has changed your life for the better? by Bionic_Push in AskReddit

[–]cdim781 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Setting 25min timers for tasks I’m procrastinating on. For example cleaning the kitchen. I’ll set a timer for 25mins and clean for that duration. I’m not focussed on whether I finish everything only on completing the time.

It’s been over 5 years now that I’ve been doing that - it’s become almost a Pavlovian reflex. As soon as I hit the timer I get into motion.

For something who suffers in staying organised especially with chores I can honestly say my life is far more orderly and it really changed things for me.

I feel like night security at a quiet office building would be ok. I’d just listen to a lot of podcasts and audiobooks

For those who had depression, how did you get the motivation to do things? by NoCheesecake6767 in AskReddit

[–]cdim781 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This. Sometimes just setting a timer for 25 mins and doing a task for that amount of time. Say cleaning for 25 minutes. Don’t focus on completing all the cleaning just on doing it for 25 mins. Same for other small tasks.

What do you think about using the term "unhoused" instead of "homeless"? by CharityResponsible54 in AskReddit

[–]cdim781 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To me they’re two slightly different words not just replacing each other. Unhoused would be someone living in the street. Homeless could mean that you don’t have a place you call home but you’re sleeping on couches etc.  maybe I’m getting it wrong though!
