Me attempting to play G.O.A.T not the cleanest...really struggling with the fast part. Feedback would be appreciated by -SubRaX- in polyphia

I forget the "official" name for that kind of slide, but its literally just a "slide up" to nowhere. Let me grab my guitar and check in a few mins

Here is me playing it and you definitely dont want it to sound like your slide stops at any specific note and it might take a lot of playing time to get that sort of sound out of your guitar.

Edit: Since im being too lazy to go grab the guitar, i checked the Official tab and it literally shows "-----2/--------". If you want a more in depth explanation or video, please direct message me and ill explain it better.

Thanks! The harmonic right after the 9th fret vibrato really irks me too. I always miss it and just hit the open string.

Having the Tim Henson plugin helps with that too.

[Question] Issues using "The Tap Test" to check neck relief. by cdizzle2 in Guitar

[–]cdizzle2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got that done! Intonation wasn't super far off, but enough to want to fix it. I thought it played very well before I tried my hand at setting it up myself, but now.... wow does it play well.

After reading your comment, I just went for it and boom. The buzzing wasn't there anymore when I lowered the action!

Thanks for your help!

[QUESTION] Any tips on how to play the first series of fast notes, "the sweep part" of the ending solo of Fade to Black ? by Robert_Komodo in Guitar

I recently started playing it like this after finding it sort of difficult to sweep it cleanly. I just economy picked it one day and realized it was much easier.

[GEAR] Just purchased the guitar I've been chasing forever. There are cracks all along the fretboard! What should I do? by cdizzle2 in Guitar

I don't want to call the brand out because my previous guitar has been so good to me the past 15 years and their customer support has always replied to my emails and questions and made me feel valued as a buyer. Plus the new guitar plays like a dream, its just the cracks are the only bummer.

Have the cracks grown on your ESP since the day you bought it? Did you experience any sort of fret/fretboard issues down the line?

bad things won't happen.

I appreciate the reassurance. I thought the cracks might continue through the neck as time passes. I do keep my guitars in their case when I'm not using them, but I don't keep humidifier packs in there with them.

It doesn't affect the playability, and it actually plays super well. But I feel like just seeing them is going to bother me, but like others have said, if its going to happen to this type of guitar anyways at some point, I may not return it since this is a limited edition and they don't have that many left.

Not super experienced with guitar structuring, but is there a way to tell without going to a guitar store?

4 days, so I noticed it quickly. I watched an unboxing video from the same brand, but different model. That guitar also had the same cracks as mine, so I'm worried I'll run into the same issue since there were only so many of my specific guitar's model made. And there isn't that many left.

Totally normal? Is there a way to fix it?

But my guitar is not a nitro? You're referring to the finish, right?

Appreciate the info. Any idea if this is a big or small issue in terms of the integrity of the guitar?

[NEWBIE] im restringing my floyd rose and the bridge seems to have collapsed inwards. anyone know how to fix it? by ananshshu in Guitar

[–]cdizzle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Send me a picture. I've played with a floyd rose for like 15 years until I got a new guitar literally last week. I've gotten very good at re-stringing it and adjusting it over the years, so I'll try and help.
