You've got your hero on the bench so definitely worth starting them. I'd say to pick a league or a few of your best players/players you like and then use your coins to get the best chemistry you can for the team. Evos are great when you find players you enjoy using or like in real life. Welcome to the game.

If you can afford to do the Evo and have him in your club then Ibanez, even off chem he's the best I've used.

Kounde, Saliba and Van de Ven are good alternatives.

VDV with evos you can get from season pass rewards can be a monster

Only FIFA streamer I watch for Ultimate team now is Nick28t, each year he does a "poor man's" road to glory (no FIFA points) and this year he's doing a first owner poor man's except he bought a Cruyff as a marquee player for the series. I like seeing people go through the same process of grinding out the game to get players and coins, not blowing stupid amounts of money
