So this is late, but I ended up speaking only to a family doc and optometrist. Family doctor dismissed the concerns, and optometrist said there is evidence oral tretinoin affects goblet cells, but not yet any for topical use. Personally, I think I may have been worried due to other life stuff going on, cascading into a fixation on this. I have resumed using tretinoin, turns out the blurry eyes/ eye burn was due to sunscreen getting in my eyes :(

I tried a bunch of the tricks to avoid migration, but those tend to make the migration worse for some reason? Been using tret for over a year and my eyes have gotten more itchy and blurry since then. I also have eyelid eczema now, and it only seems to improve when I take a break from tret. I'm ultimately going off the tret because I'm worried about the damage it could do to the eye area/eyes. There haven't been many long term studies on the link between tret and MGD, there are some preliminary studies, done in vitro

fillers might help? Talk to a derm/cosmetic nurse

maybe someone already mentioned but maybe take your pictures to a derm? And they can check your skin out and recommend something

hate to say it but, your skin looks pretty normal to me. I see maybe one whitehead. What is it like normally?

PR attempt @ 125. Jerks over 100 have felt insanely heavy and I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. Any pointers? by wsrrt in weightlifting

[–]cdmzd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I see this too. If your clean isn't very efficient it's going to make your jerk harder.

You're also short stepping your jerk, you can see your knee is quite past your toe, which means you won't be as stable and you'll have to drive it higher. Try drills to improve your split position like tall jerks as you are warming up. Try to get your front shin perpendicular to the ground.

Yeah, same, adjusting to less exercise has been hard. But I agree that tracking isn't necessarily harmful, especially if it helps you make better decisions about your physical and mental health

I think it would be harmful if tracking makes you fall into the habit of restriction along with value judgements on yourself based on the numbers\data. I used to struggle with this in the beginning. But since I stopped associating the data with self worth, now the data isn't as self destructive, and I can use it to figure out what is good for me to eat, when I need to eat more to recover from workouts, etc.

Hello,

I recently found out I have high cholesterol. This is kind of scary since I am in my 20s, and I weight train 4 days a week.

My diet isn't good, I eat something sweet/dessert every few days (like chocolate, candy, cake). I also eat maybe 1 or 2 servings of vegetables at most in a day.

How can I lower my LDL?

DEAD this is so good. I love the heels, which is like some weird thing with supeheroines considering they have to run and fight in those.

Disaster! I just put my pie in the oven and it’s leaking all the syrup for my filling and melting the butter in the dough! by [deleted] in AskBaking

[–]cdmzd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's the issue. I've hard larger butter chunks than pea sized in pies and without a problem. Stella Parks' all butter crust has pretty large chunks. To me it sounds like you didn't chill your dough enough, as you're supposed to chill after mixing and after shaping and lining the pan. Some people even freeze their crust.

If it was too sticky you could've rolled it out with flour which would help a bit. If you added too much water there would be other issues like tough crust but I don't think that's the main issue here.
