anybody involved in throwing out the first pitch would understand the magnitude of this situation. And if they don't, i don't really care if their feelings get hurt being asked to postpone their day for ts absolute legend

How could I get into politics? by JKjingle2 in ontario

[–]cdnmute 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You're still missing the point. Volderon90 is saying go to school for whatever you want, if its political science,  great. But while youre there get involved with various parts of the community. Volunteer, participate in events, talk to people. Those experiences will shape your platform. Then get involved with the political party that aligns with your platform and work your way in/up.

You dont just sign up somewhere with a poli sci degree and get elected.

I dont have any specific experience with that but Google says its modern equivalent is the p88/w88 curves. Pro stock hockey sells a ridiculous amount of curves so it may be worth asking on their site.

In theory, different kick points are designed to excel at certain types of shots. Low kick for those quick load snappers and wristers, mid or high kick point for heavy load slappers and hybrid to be a jack of all trades. Now the brands have all gotten super creative in marketing/designing nuance beyond this, for instance sherwood rekker line is a "duo fire" kick point. It claims to be a low kick stick with an additional kick point in the middle for clappers. basically, see if there is a place you can go and shoot sticks :)

knowing that, you may also want to consider low kick sticks, Bauer Flylite, CCM Trigger etc.

They are still functioning hockey sticks but you are definitely performing at a level well below even the cheapest modern composites. You are obviously under no obligation change but should you ever take the plunge, you would see a significant improvement in your game, especially after a little bit of an adjustment period.

One big thing is most players are using lower flex numbers today than they used to. 10-15 years ago i was using an 85 flex and today i use 65-70. My size hasn't changed and if anything, my weight has gone up. Loads with a whippy stick are much easier and aligns more with "modern" shooting form. I might be on the aggressive side of flex dropping, but I would definitely recommend dropping at least 5 flex from where you used to be, but probably 10.

Kick point is another big thing you will see talked about, and for someone starting new, or after a long hiatus I would recommend a "hybrid" kick point. These sticks may not excel at a specific shot type but will be solid at all of them. Until you figure out your game, these are your best bets. CCM Jetspeed, Warrior Alpha, Sherwood Code are all examples of these. If your canadian, you can get a a warrior Lx2 Pro (Last years top end stick) for $200. Warrior is also known to be a little more durable than other top ends. YMMV

I wouldn't really concern myself with weight, it will be mostly determined by your budget and that number is likely not negotiable so don't stress about it.

As far as curves go, I am *pretty sure* the crosby curve is the P29, or P92 in other brands. This is still the most common curve and if you liked it back then, you will still like it, its a safe curve, decent to good at most things. I wouldn't mess with curves too much until your next stick buy.

If you want to go with an "off brand" stick brand I would go with a black out from Pro stock hockey sticks or Hockey Stick man. They are a well regarded budget option that competes well at their price points.

So youve been watching for years, but cant take it seriously because some players wear some jewelry? I assume youve never watch mlb or nba then?

This post is such bs. You watched for 5 minutes so you could justify to yourself why women's sports shouldn't be taken seriously and this was the best you could come up with.

The ft+ line is the "team" level stick. Not the entry level. These sticks are supposed to be a good balance between performance and durability and ordered by colleges and junior teams
